Great story and pace, ambiguous undercurrent of mounting tension plot is excellent. Could use more complex villains

I love these characters even more. Tbh I would love to get a book with Randy as the main character. His life being bullied was sad and I hope Jean talks to his mom about taking legal action against them. But it was fun seeing him grow and It was adorable when he named his weapon lol.

Sarah was adorable and kind tbh I wanted to see her and her friends personally catch that one guard. But I love how she turned everything into a positive to make things better for everyone around her.

And Jean! A bada** grandma who would do anything for her granddaughter. Seeing the guild panic when talking about her was hilarious. I love how she took Randy under her wing

A good laugh with action

A lot of funny moments and great character development that really leaves you cheering for the heroes.

Loved it! A great follow up to the first book! The climactic chapters had me grinning ear to ear.
