Publisher's summary

John Carter had Barsoom. Antarius Thurgood got Altair.

Stranded on an uncivilized world, Captain Thurgood finds himself alone against an entire planet filled with savage beasts and deadly denizens. To top it all off, the Hama are coming for him. Now, he must find a way to unite a people, conquer a planet, steal a ship and get off of Altair.

It won’t be easy.

All he has are his wits and his grit because no one listened when he asked for a survival bazooka.

crazy fun

Wallace and Throm are a great combination. Laugh out loud funny. If you like humorous SiFi, listen to this series.

Hilarious adventure

Fun adventure on an "uninhabited" island. The story is light hearted and funny. Liked it a lot as with all of Benjamin's works. Great narration too! Nailed it.

I laughed out loud

I love the way Thurgood is so oblivious to his own ego. Phil Tron, as always, nails the character. I've enjoyed every Benjamin Wallace book I've read and listened to Phil narrate. I'm looking forward to the next one.

Love the narrative

I like the dark comedy flavor. Thurgood is a laughable bully hero monster. Good listen

another home run.

Loved it. Ben successfully turned one of the beggest unlikable heels into a hero while still remaining a heel...masterful work

A super funny story

Antarius is great combo of ignorance and unwarranted bravado. It’s not what I expected from book 3 but it doesn’t disappoint. Phil Thron is excellent as always!

the first 2 books were great

I was very excited to see a third book to the shattered alliance series. I enjoyed the duck and cover series by Benjamin Wallace as well! This book was just lacking a whole lot to look forward to. it revised an earlier character from the series and excluded all the good characters. I hope the 4th book makes up for this.

Strong start then a stinky moss covered planet

I think the author is doing what he can to create a Space Team style book. But this wanna be Cal Carver of a captain is the most uninteresting self absorbed character I’ve experienced in a book in some time. I know he is supposed to be the hero but I keep hoping the aliens will kill him off so we can have a better story like book 2 was in this series. Books 1 and 3 follow this Captain Thursomethingorother and frankly he is a dumpster fire of a character. I have been trying so hard to finish this book. I usually listen to audiobooks 6-10 hours a day. I’ve gone days and days avoiding my Audible app because this book feels like a punishment. If you write a book 4 aim for something like book 2. I’m not saying you have to kill off this annoying Captain just stop mentioning him and pretend he never existed. Their world and ours will be better off for his not being in it.
