Publisher's summary

The young A&E doctor is dumbstruck when he walks into the softly-furnished quite room, The Royal London Hospital's "Room of Death" to merry medics. For, standing there before him - about to receive the worst of news from his lips - is the identical twin of the 25-year-old woman he has just pronounced dead, after yet another cycling fatality at the Old Street roundabout.

"Carys was going to leave London in three days to start a new job as a physio back home in Wales," says Rhi, the surviving twin, hammered calm by the shock of what she has already sensed with twinly telepathy. "Now, I will have to live her life for her and love for the both of us."

Sometimes, London is much too much. When Rhi decides she must leave after Cary's death, she takes Matt and Jamie along with her in pursuit of an impossible dream, which leads the three millennials to throw themselves into reviving a broken-down watercress farm in Hampshire.

But, will their love triangle survive the strains of daring to jump off the carousel called success as it spins ever faster in bipolar Britain?

Not my cup of tea

After a couple of tries I got through this book. I did want to see how it ended.

This is mostly a coming of age story. It often strays into philosophical dialogues about true happiness, what matter in life, and the importance of ignoring other people’s opinions about how you live your life.

I had to leave it and come back again. The first chapters feature a tragic death. The grief snd mourning is described in some detail. I found that too hard the first time, and skipped over some of it the next time...

There is a touch of the supernatural involved. And a non traditional 3-person relationship. All set in a new age venture that abandons the rat race in favor of a small town and togetherness.

I was a bit surprised by the ending too.

If you like characters who are unconventional and fight for the right to remain that way, then you will enjoy joining these characters on their meandering path to happiness.

I received this audiobook for free in exchange for a fair review

A different look at relationships

R.J. Askew has an unusual look into these three characters life and relationships. It is a very deep thinking aspect in life. I personally did not like this type of writing. He definitely thinks outside the box and I admire the writer for that. I was given this as a free book for my review. This is my own thoughts and opinion on this book.

Interesting Story

In The Room With Three Doors by R.J. Askew was an interesting story. I hear it all in one sitting, I just didn't want to stop the audiobook, while having a good scotch and cigar. For me, it is the best time. I found it to be very descriptive and entertaining. The story was very good and I would recommend the audiobook.

Enjoyed reading

This was a great book. Short but enjoyable. This is the type of book you take with you to the tub with a glass of wine. Only problem I found with it is I have noticed a lot of women in my age group really aren’t into crass books and this is a crass book. I found it very enjoyable I liked how the reader made it feel very enjoyable. It’s done in the English style but not dry and stuffy as I had assumed it would be.

Extremely well written, hilarious, heart warming

This story caught me off guard. I found myself able to relate and resonate deeply with the 3 main characters. Sometimes a tragedy can open doors to a whole new realm of passion and love... or maybe even 3. This book shook me to my core. I rode the highs of joy, serendipity, wander lust loving, free spirited youngsters who have the entire world as their oyster. RJ is not only an exceptional wordsmith but a linguistic artist. His descriptions and sensations that he paints in your mind will leave you wanting more... My only problem is when is the next book coming out? The story has inception undertones and will make you wonder why we take everything so seriously. Diving deep into the fleeting reality of these free souls will leave your mind twisting and turning. Give this book a listen.

In the room with three doors

This book was not what I was expecting.I found the story weird,at best.Though I loved the realization that you can love more than one person at a time, the use in this story to live for the dead twin was just, eerie. The lead lady's way of talking in riddles, like a 'Welsh Witch' was irrittating to me,no way endearing. R.J. Askews narration was good, though so low, like a whisper that I had to find another device with more volume available to listen on. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
