Fun and Sizzling Stories

I loved all stories, they fun to listen to as well. This one surprised by being narrated by the author. It was a treat for listen to stories both written by and narrated by the same person. She is very talented in both. I don't often leave reviews, but every now and then I will especially when a story's characters or the author does something cool. I enjoyed the stories and I look forward to listening more of Tamsin Ley's stories and hopefully more of her narrations as well!!!!

The best fantasy novel

Loved it the the novel took me into world of mermaids. I have listen to this novel multiple times

Mates for Monsters

This was a nice collection of three short books all interconnected. In book 1, we meet Briana and Zantu. Briana was in the process of trying to kill herself and Zantu saves her. She had a horrible husband who didn’t give her the care she needed when she lost a baby. I love how this book ended so the Zantu and Briana could be together. In book 2, Zantu’s brother finds his mate. It had a nice ending but not as nice as book 1. In the third book, Eppy, Zantu’s niece (I thought Eppy was originally his nephew but it turns out she is his neice), finds her mate. These were three really good books.

Tamsin Ley did a great job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

My 1st MerMan story ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I really liked this book and found myself absorbing all the information about merman like I was going to be tested. I really couldn't help it. I have no knowledge of Merpeople in general other than The Little Mermaid and the movie Splash. I think its fascinating, Tamsin Ley's portrayal of mermaids being evil and the whole role reversal was everything. This might be common in stories of Merpeople but I wouldn't no. I always thought they were sexy but sweet and helpful. I love the idea that they are the total opposite. This book has great details that makes it impossible to not see everything vividly in your mind, not excluding hot merman sex. If I'm being 100 she finally put to rest the question of 'How does that work?' Thank you! I rarely like when the authors narrate their own books because they usually come off very amateurish, robotic, and or lacking professionalism. However I didn't even notice that she did both till just now when I was dbl checking how to spell correctly. She did a good job with appropriate voices and emotions so don't let that deter you. I already recommended to my book bestie (she's terribly picky) and if I'd recommend it to her I'd recommend it to almost anyone. I would say its for those who love an exciting storyline and hot descriptive sex. I will add that these are short stories (not my thing). I normally dislike them short because usuallythey seem to lack something, Not these. They are very satisfying. I requested this book to review and I'm happy I did.

Cute short stories

Love these short stories. I hope to see more along these lines. A little bummed that the end had a preview to another book that says it will be an audiobook, but could not find an audio copy. Only copy I found was in the Kindle store.

Loved it.

If you like merfolk romance, you’re bound to love this. The stories have a little bit of everything in them and, most importantly, a HEA. I have the collection on both eprint and audio. The audio is well done and read by Tamsin herself. Highly recommended.

Great

Loved this boxset. This is a three story set and was so good. I loved the first book and the shorts were good too. I enjoyed this set so much can’t wait till book is available in audio. A great listen for all mer lovers.

Enjoyable stories

The three stories were about merman brothers and one of the brother’s child. The stories were in order and enjoyable to listen about how the merman and mermaids interact and live.

Stories Without Expected Limitations

I love it when the author reads their own books. There's a depth of knowledge, understanding and emphasis that no other reader, no matter how good they are, can give. Tamsin's voice is soft and smooth, like a singer.

Story #1 Zantu and Brianna. This one starts off with loss, infertility and attempted suicide. The mermaids are dangerous sirens. But the mermen have an intense story all their own. The mermen shape the entirety of the stories, which is thoughtful and insightful. Of course, this is romance. Think Beauty and the Beasts (plural). Not telling which is which, you have to read it.

#2 Rebak and Madison. A little interracial as well as inter-species flavor in this romance. Science vs Myth vs Knowledge. Just how can they make this work? The answer is intriguing.

#3 Ebbie and Cruz. Can we overcome our upbringing? Can people with disabilities love and be loved? Are the ways pets are treated truly important? The merman/mermaid conflict comes full circle with this last story in a quite satisfying way. Whatever limitations you'd expect to be blocks, simply aren't.

Love can indeed conquer all. There's adventure, dangerous missions, tender reunions along with lots of sex. Bonus: A sneak peek at the next series. Very well done.
