Publisher's summary

From New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Laurelin Paige comes a new story in her Found Duet series....

I knew JC was trouble the minute I laid eyes on him.

Breaking every rule in my club. I never forget how he made me feel that night. With all the women in that room, all those bodies on display, but his eyes were only on me.

Of course I married him. Now years have passed. Kids have been born. We’re still in love as always, and the sex is still fantastic....

And yet, it’s also not. Like many who’ve been married for a while, I long for the high intensity of those days of the past.

I’ve heard rumors for years about the Open Door. An ultra-exclusive voyeur’s paradise. A place to participate in - or watch - any kind of display you can imagine.

My husband’s eyes would still be on me. And maybe other eyes too. If that’s what we want.

So when an invitation to come play arrives, how could we turn it down?

*Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a stand-alone story. For new listeners, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you'll enjoy each one as much as we do.*

Steamy

This is a hot steamy quick story. Nice to catch up with Gwen and JC after marriage and children. The open door was intimate, freaky and sexually charged 🔥🔥🔥

Extremely Hot

These books are a joy because we can revisit some of our favorite characters. Gwen and JC have been married for years now, and with 3 young boys to care for, they don’t have the time to devote to the passion they have. A friend gifts them with a membership to The Open Door, a mythical club whispered about in the city. Gwen is apprehensive due to her body after 3 kids and the thought of anyone touching her man. I will let you read the rest....I think it is what everyone in a committed relationship who wonders what is behind the Door would feel. I loved this!

Exhibitionism and Exploration. Hot and Fun!

This story follows Gwen and JC, but happens 8 years after the FOUND DUET finishes. Technically you could read this without reading that duet, but I think it’s better to read that one first to get the full picture. They're now married and 3 kids in. A business associate gets them an invite to THE OPEN DOOR adult parties that are all about experimentation. They decide to go and watch and they like it so much eventually they decide to participate. This book not only describes their tentative exploration of exhibitionism but the emotional pitfalls to inviting others into the bedroom.

It was nice to see that a married couple with kids were making time to prioritise their relationship, but it was totally realistic with all the interruptions from the kids and lack of privacy that comes with a young family.

Tanya helps to put us in the moment with this couple and I loved it all.

A short listen but a good one. This almost felt like an extended epilogue, which was fun.

Great seeing old friends but disappointing

This glimpse into the married sex lives of Gwen and JC was a valiant attempt but was all over the place in an attempt to be sexy while dealing with 3 young children. The love in their relationship came through as well as their desire for open communications and their desire for each other but the Open Door atmosphere as a backdrop here was different than for Nora and Boyd and Cecilia and Edward. It was an interesting Concept but not nearly as appealing as some of the epilogues.
