Publisher's summary

The Department of Dragon Affairs sends Dr. Kiyana Barnes to Lochguard with a group of human women open to having dragon mates. She’s supposed to help them adjust to being around dragon-shifters while also observing how the clan works on a day-to-day basis. She most definitely isn’t supposed to notice how one look from a certain dragon man teacher sets her skin on fire, let alone ask him to kiss her in a weak moment, given her past.

Alistair Boyd spends most of his time in the clan’s archives, searching for a solution to fulfill the vow he made to himself three years ago. However, when his clan leader orders him to educate the latest group of humans to come to Lochguard, he has no choice but to cut back and do his clan duty. One of the females catches his eye, but he tries to resist her. After all, he made an important vow. One that includes staying away from females until it’s complete.

One weak moment results in a kiss that changes both Kiyana and Alistair’s lives forever. Unfortunately, a clan emergency means keeping Alistair’s dragon silent for more days than he’d like. Will Alistair’s duty to clan end up harming his dragon, and pushing away the woman who is his second chance? Or, will he beat the clock to have everything he didn’t know he wanted?

67,000 words with a happy ending. 18+ for adult situations.

Never say never

This was a brilliant story. If you like twist and turns this book will keep you on your toes. It was great to learn all the history of some of the clans and how things used to be. Lots of information that will be important to future dragons.
Alistair and Kiyana are one of the sweetest couples and Alistair will protect even at the cost of his own life if needed.
Brian did another fabulous job with this story. I really can’t explain how awesome it is to be able to tell the difference between the dialects in these stories. His voice is so soothing.
Another win and waiting for more as they come.

The Dragon's Discovery

I love this! It had excitement and intrigue but not to the point where I was overly stressing. All of the characters were AMAZING! I do wish (small spoiler here!) we could have seen the dragon get his memories back, but it was still a wonderful read! the narration was wonderful as well! I highly recommend this book & series!

Dragons Discovery

This was an emotional book to read. Listening to it was an much more emotional experience for me. The performance of the narrator was amazing and helped to bring that emotion out in the story. Be ready for the tears to flow.

Big fan of the author and the book series

Jesse Donovan as one of My favorite authors to date. She does an amazing job of telling a story not only for the individual characters who are the main characters but also to help describe the clan their tradition their focus and dedication to one another and family. It's nice to be able to step out day-to-day life and not only in to the story of 2 people fighting each other but one that also makes you feel like you're a part of the book itself and their story. Looking forward to the next one.

The world that the author created is beautiful and her characters are very well written (Strong and courageous!). Narrator did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life and her pace is perfect. I honestly recommend this book.

Finally Alistair Boyd!

With all of the things that are occurring with the Dragon shifters I needed to know more about what is happening with all of the drugs that The Dragon Knights and other coco crazy groups are using. I do understand that Ms. Donovan cannot tell us all of that is going on just yet but it seems as though when the dragon shifters neutralized a drug there are 20 more that pop up.

In this story we get to see more of Alistair Boyd. We have met his mom and him throughout this series. We know that he keeps to himself but we do not know why. In this story we understand what drives him and why he has shut out everyone. We also get to meet his true mate, Kiyana.

I am very excited that we got a brown heroine. There are times where, be being brown, I do not see myself being represented in fantasy or paranormal books.

Anyway, I loved the relationship with these two. When Alistair realized that being with Kiyana does not mean that he is breaking a promise and realized that he is supposed to be happy it was great. I loved the fact that she fought to be with him and moved passed her issues to be happy. I also enjoyed their little epilogue.

At this rate it seems as though Jessie Donovan is moving this story line forward in order to start a new story arc and I am not made at that. I look forward to seeming what happens with all of the kids.

Worth the wait

I loved learning more about Alistair Boyd the very stuffy, yet straightforward dragon-man who just wanted to teach. As well as the very smart and determined Dr. Kiyana Barnes. These two were the perfect true mate couple who at first didn't want to mate. Thank goodness for Alistair's mom and her I know better then you do what's good for you son of mines attitude.

I have really enjoy reading and listening to this series over the years, I find Jessie's books to be very emotional, action packed, adventurous, sexy as hell and always entertaining. The Dragon's Discovery, which is book 6 in the series, seemed a little different then the others in the series but it was just as good if not better.

With each book I read and then listen to I seem to fall in love with Brian J. Gill's narration more and more. His dragon voices are just so on spot and the different sounds/accents he uses make the dialogue come to life that much more.
