All Mitch Rapp books are entertaining. Some amazing, and some great. But they all keep you entertained the whole way through. Vince Flynn does a great job to depict corruption in Politics that actually makes it fun to read rather then run for your life, like I do whenever it's re-election season in TV commercial world. This story is a bit different then the other 9 I've read from the Mitch Rapp series, where it has less action, but more deceptive plot thwarting. The thing that seriously made it unbearable even from the first few minutes, was the narrator. What the heck was the production company thinking hiring this guy? Was George Guidall on vacation? Even Nick Sullivan (who narrated two mitch rapp books was better). I seriously think this was a horrendous decision on everyone's part to hire Ken Kilban. Google Jack Palance and listen to how he adds an extra breath at the end of each sentence and word, and this ken guy, is 15x worse. I wonder if that's how he talks in real life? what a disaster. If you can power through, then the good news is atleast he only reads one of the books in the long series. He ruins Mitch's character. He ruin's Dr. Kennedy's character. I don't mind his voice for the whiny politicians, that actually seems to fit. But my biggest problem is with Vince Flynn approving of this guy, and the production company doing the same. Regardless, decent story with less action then mitch is used to. And a horrible narration job. The worst.

Great book, narration horrible

I am absolutely enthralled with the Mitch Rapp series and this book doesn't disappoint. However, the narrator is absolutely horrible. I would have stopped listening and read the book but I do not have that amount of time. I listen to the books on my hour long drive to work every morning and I was really tempted to cut this book really short due to the way it was read. I really didn't want to skip it to go to the next book so I continued on. With my ears bleeding, I finally made the end.
The voices were absolutely horrible and he made Mitch sound like a whiny school boy. The other voices were just as bad and I cannot in good faith recommend hearing this guy.
If in fact you do listen to him, be aware that your ears may bleed. your temperature will probably rise and you may end up with a case of turrets while listening.
As agonizing as it was to listen to this book, the story itself was great!! I recommend reading it though to save yourself and mind from the horribleness ( yeah, I don't think thats a word ) your about to encounter by pressing play.

Good Story....Narrator not so much

Good story but I almost couldn’t finish this book because of the narrator. His inflection and cadence were over the top, almost sounded like Captain Kirk from Star Trek. Made the protagonist sound like a whiney child instead of a well trained spy.

Long winded

Story was drawn out quite a bit. Full sections were repeated unnecessarily about thoughts of love and relationship. Literally skipped full chapters to try to get through it. Once the action started in the last 3 chapters it got interesting.

Crappy narrator

i hated the narrator. I hated his voice and he sounded as if he were yelling EVERYTHING!!!!
