Great story, I could do without that last 30 mins.

Great continuation, great voices, good plat and enjoying the other nations getting interesting. Would be great if they left that last 30mins of another book in there making me think it was more of the story I wanted to hear.

Overall good story; 39 minute preview for another author

The narrator seemed to have some issues with pronouncing words. The two examples I can think of were plague pronounced as plaque and despite pronounced as deespite. The weird part is he read plague correctly a couple sentences later. I’m pretty sure it was the narrator because they had issues with other words out of context. I can’t recall specific examples but it would be something like seems vs seemed.

The author had some oddities as well. I cannot recall specific examples, but they had the same clause at the beginning and the end of the same sentence. It would have been fine in either place but it was in both. It’s similar to the comment I had in the review for the first book : In the beginning I liked the story in the beginning. That’s not the example in this book, but gives the concept.

As another reviewer noted the last 39 minutes are a preview for a book by another author. I think if it had been disclosed up front prior to buying the book, I would have been more accepting. I feel a little cheated.

fixed my one complaint from last two

my only complaint from the first audiobook was the amount of reviewing his entire stat list. the second one has it occur less and on this one even less.

The world building and combat are all fantastic, with interesting locales and characters, I can't wait for more of Ajax's adventures. (Also, Fluffy is the best Feline monster pet, period)

Book 3 and still not caught up to where it was on the YouTubes last December 🥲

Good book

I’ve enjoyed this series. The author does a good job between storyline and progression of the character. I do wish the character grew a little faster and the story was spit up a little bit more in the telling. Besides that pretty good book and series so far.

Good series

Good series. Still dislike the speed or way(?) the female voice comes out and have to listen to at 1.4 times the normal speed, so it is all tied together. Other than that I would recommend it.

Great story but horrible at keeping facts straight

Constantly changes the age of ajax or the time tom is in the army since book 1 and it doesn’t get better in this book. Cant say ajax is almost 16 and then 2 months later say he’s about to have his 17th birthday. It’s a bit annoying.

love the story, but..

great story, but the constant full character sheets for every miner skill upgrade gets real tedious.. not so bad at the beginning, but further in it get to over 5 minutes of going over things that didn't change to get to the one skill he was talking about. it should have been summed up, even when he makes a section just for updates, it still reads out the whole sheet..not an issue if your reading and can easily skip past it, but if you listening while doing something else, it drags on, like a student using it to pad page numbers, or tun time..

nooooo, a 1hr different story

love the book I will get the next one. the problem is that I thought I had close to 16 hr to listen to, but in fact there is a 42 min chapter of a different book at the end
