They left him for dead.

Now he’s back—and he’s bringing the Tower down.

Instead, it rewound.

Thrown back to Day One—before the Tower rose, before the betrayals—Ren knows what’s coming: secret quests, hidden mechanics, and a ticking clock that ends with Earth’s destruction.

Armed with future knowledge and forgotten skills, he’s ready to rewrite everything.

From building a guild out of nobodies…

To crafting mythic-grade potions…

To surviving a hundred deadly floors and the guilds hunting him…

Ren is done playing nice.

The Tower’s coming—and this time, he climbs first.

I thought the book was well written and really enjoyed it. The narrator did a great job and loved the way he switched up the characters and energy of the script. I am really looking forward to the next book and ready to see how the narrator tells the story and makes the characters come to life again. Great book and I have already shared it and recommend it to several people.

Great Book!

-Narrator speaks incredibly slowly. At 1.5 speed, it sounds like a slightly fast read. So is his incompetence as a cleric. On top of which, there is a try hard effort to make it funny that doesn’t work. It’s like that unfunny uncle trying really hard to be funny and then trying to get you to acknowledge they’re funny.

- MC is a coward and it’s overemphasized.

- Specialization and crafting(this even more so since MC pretty much focuses on it) are clearly intricate and important but not very fleshed out by the story or MC.

-He has no attachment to being a cleric so why not pick mage which uses intelligence as its main attribute? Never explains why he even wants to be a cleric instead.

- I can appreciate that it’s an unusual take on the regressor litrpg, but the MC is locked into not growing in what is an important way because he has to be a coward. His foreknowledge should emphasize how much of an opportunity it is to not go through the pain and death in real life but he ignores it.

- The wholes monster in real life bit pretty much ignores relatively fast. His choices and thoughts not lining up with getting ready for them.
- Gives out his address for the dumbest reason( they’ll find out if they try hard enough anyway).

- The pre-regression story doesn’t actually show him living the life the story is centered on AT ALL. It also doesn’t explain a lot of things, like the connection between characters and real life. The importance of which, cannot be overstated.
-Gives up his edge for seemingly no reason by teaching anyone anything.

- A lot of discussion about how specialized elite classes could be but none are potion focused?

MC snd Narrator issues

Excellent regressor series. Ren, the MC, carries back his memories and personality quirks and remains a believable character. He's not all powerful or all knowing, but remembers the major events that affected his first life. I highly recommend the series.

Jonathan Mulder turns in an excellent performance as the narrator.

No one likes spending their hard earned cheddar on bad tales. Let’s just say that this book has it all chapter development, good story, and a solid return on your cheddar. Make sure to give it a shot after all street rats are king. Also cannot wait for the next book highly recommend giving the books a read if you can’t wait for the next audible!!

Rats, what’s a story!

i really. like the story and it is nice that ist is on audible now too. I think the narrator is still getting their feet under them but it is still worth a credit for the story. If the pace is too slow you can always speed up the play speed

great story

I'm honestly sorta upset i spent money on this. the book isn't terrible, i sat through most of it but it definitely falls short in several ways. it feels like the author has never played an mmo the class system is basic and uninspired i get that this is a crafting focused novel but the fact that the mc chooses to be a cleric chef among them feels like a silly decision especially in the later part of the book where he starts to use his alchemy for combat. it makes you wonder why there isn't a combat alchemist class or something like it.

speaking of crafting the main focus of the book the story fails to go into too much detail about it. much of it's mentions are brief despite how much of the story is focused around it. random generic potion names no real chemistry or experimentation with plants or description of the finer details of potion crafting. if what you're looking for is a campy story about crafting this isn't the book for you. the book has no real specialization, it shys away from every category so much that it becomes a bland mesh of them all. he regresses through time but barely uses any of the knowledge from his past experiences. he does one single hisden quest and kills one mini boas then barely fights after. he doesn't really craft high level potions. for a story so completely not focused on combat the game world is completely geared around it. crafting classes dont net exp outside of class levels so besides making money they're kinda pointless. beyond that the logic is really hard to get behind. alchemists are viewed as force multipliers yet every time you get people dismissing or trying to bully him while he's supposedly the best alchemist in the game. hell even the hook at the start of the book makes no sense. it goes on and on about how he's this genius at alchemy who's keeping his guild afloat and then they stab him in the back so they can distribute his levels? yet it's obvious that crafting levels aren't all that important and the crafting system is based on knowledge and accomplishments so doing that wouldn't really have the same effect as keeping him on since he's this super genius alchemist. it's so silly.

Great potential but poor execution.

Absolutely great story. Better written then Atlas for sure. This author is just getting better and Better.
It has a great community of characters and is not an OPMC story. Very fresh.

Another LITRPG author that doesn't understand basic game design, how humans act, or how life works.

Impossible to suspend disbelief.

Seriously, move on. The plot is good, but the execution is poor. Some scenes get repetitive and stuck in a loop of introspection and explanations. I had to fast-forward to get the story in a number of chapters. It needs editing.

Repetitive...we get it, move on
