Publisher's Summary

At 73 years young, number-one New York Times best-selling author and health guru Suzanne Somers has established herself as a leading voice on antiaging. With A New Way to Age, she “is at the forefront again, bringing seminal information to people, written in a way that all can understand” (Ray Kurzweil, author of How to Create a Mind) with this revolutionary philosophy for a longer and better-quality life that will make you feel like you’ve just had the best checkup ever.

There is a new way to age. I’m doing it, and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. I love this stage of my life: I have "juice", joy, wisdom, and perspective; I have energy, vitality, clearheadedness, and strong bones.

Most of us are far too comfortable with the present paradigm of aging, which normalizes pills, nursing homes, and “the big three”: heart disease, cancer, and Alzheimer’s disease. But you don’t have to accept this fate. Now there’s a new way to grow older - with vibrancy, freedom, confidence, and a rockin’ libido. This health bible from Suzanne Somers will explain how to stop aging like your parents and embrace cutting-edge techniques such as: balancing nutritional and mineral deficiencies; detoxifying your gut for weight loss; pain management with non-THC cannabis instead of harmful opioids; and much more.

Aging well is mainly about the choices you make on a daily basis. It can be a fantastic process if you approach it wisely. After a lifetime of research, Suzanne came to a simple conclusion: what you lose in the aging process must be replaced with natural alternatives. In order to thrive, you have to rid your body of chemicals and toxins. Start aging the new way today by joining Suzanne and her trailblazing doctors as they all but unearth the fountain of youth.

This is not for me ....

I’m very sorry but I feel like I’m getting a college lecture and cannot finish this book. I’d rather read the hard copy.

A dictionary of health!

You’ve probably heard of‘ a miracle in a jar‘. Well this new Suzanne Somers book is literally‘ a miracle in a book‘! I have already purchased a number of supplements to help improve my health. I am 69 years old for a few more months! And I, too, want to age with energy and vitality. One of the great finds I read about in this book was a grounding sheet. After reading lots of information on different websites, I ordered one and have been sleeping like the cat in front of a roaring fire! Love everything about this and have basically listened to it three times already. Three words of advice: purchase, purchase, purchase!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BUT ELITIST FACTORS

Susanne Sommers does a good job of pointing out how toxic environmental factors in our air, food, and water impact the physical body as well as aging. She is thorough in providing many alternative ways to combat both aging and decline in health. However, how many of us can afford these procedures? This is what makes the book elitist. Probably only the top 1% of the country can afford to fly to the locations and pay the out of pocket prices for specialized blood tests and the cutting edge medicine she recommends. Much of America struggles to put food on the table without paying several hundred dollars a month in suggested supplementation. I also sense the undertones of thinking that aging is a bad thing rather something human and that one can do with grace and good health habits.

What your Doctors don't tell you.

Suzanne covers in-depth what you should know and how conventual medicine doesn't always get to the root of your health condition. I can testify with having Hashimoto my endo MD only wants to test my TSH and when I asked what all I need to do to have optimum health I was told just to take the RX and eat anything I want. I've had to research everything on my own. I love how you have laid everything out for us. Thank you soooooo much for this book!

FOR THOSE WHO DID NOT LIKE THE NARRATOR

OH FOR HEAVEN SAKE'S PEOPLE. If you think the narrator is too slow or teacher like, just speed it up. I speed up almost all of my Audible listens as I listen better that way. If you speed this book up to 1.4x faster, (or whatever your preference) she actually sounds like Suzanne. I would never let a slow narrator ruin all the important information on this great audio book or any other book. Get creative for goodness sakes. This is, as all her books, a well house of great information. If you want to go even deeper into anti ageing information check out Dave Asprey's podcast (Bullet proof)or his book, Super Human) But be prepared for stuff you may not agree with...and he will try to sell his products...( that's cool with me as he has done years of research) (I have no financial interest) As always, for any new cutting edge information... take what you like and leave the rest. I am so appreciative of this 2020 new information. Stem cells, peptides, red light therapy etc... AND CHEMO AND RADIATION is a money making scam. Get educated. Take the time. I have listened/read/watched over 80 plus hours of cutting edge information on cancer and other things and I am extremely healthy. Never been seriously sick, But I want to stay informed. Don't let anything stop you. Some western medicine is a joke. You cannot make a decision unless you are informed from several directions. Good luck and stay curious.

Great information!

Great info but the narration is horrible, especially all of the “HaHa’s” UGH!
I think it would have been better if Suzanne actually narrated it! I would have given it 5 Stars!

why can't she read it herself ?

Why is Suzanne Somers so willing to compromise the value of her research and bother with writing a book (certainly ghost written ) by not finding time to read it to us? This book is not very well read IMHO . Would have been able to recommend it if Suzanne read it herself . Poor priorities on her part.

Informative

This book had a lot of good information. I wasn't open to bioidentacle hormones until reading this book. The narrator wasn't bad, but I would of preferred Susan Somers herself. Overall worth the read!
