Publisher's Summary

A More Complete Beast is men's writer Jack Donovan's third book in a series that started with the runaway cult hit, The Way of Men. The second book, Becoming a Barbarian, showed disconnected modern men - men born into the anti-identity "Empire of Nothing" - how to think tribally.

In A More Complete Beast, Donovan picks up Friedrich Nietzsche's thoughts on nobility and master morality and uses them to guide men through an "upside-down" modern world, avoid the trap of hateful ressentiment, and overcome adversity through creativity.

In Donovan's hands, Nietzsche's words are rasps and chisels to help men refine a strength-based ethos, revealing their highest and noblest selves to become more complete men. And, as Nietzsche reminded us, man is a beast - so to become a more complete man is always to become a more complete beast.

Jack's lost his edge

I've read almost everything Jack has put out since he started writing. It appears that since he got involved with WOV, he's lost his edge, become anti- Law Enforcement, and has written the same book three times in a row. His work has become massively uninspired in ways that only happen to people who become lazy in a echo- chamber. This book has heavy Nietzsche philosophy, but all Jake's work does. No new ground is ever being covered, no deep truths revealed, no deep wisdom demonstrated.

Jack's probably happier than ever been, but the small amount of notoriety he's obtained has ruined him as a author and creator.
Jack's work used to inspire me, but now it leaves me indifferent.

On a good note his performance was really good.

An excellent addition to his works

I found becoming a barbarian by chance on amazon, leading me to the way of men. (Both need to be read first) and they were life changing books. This book as with his others articulates thoughts I’ve had for a while and let’s you know that you as a man are not alone in this modern world ruled by the fat and weak pathetic excuses for humans. Read it!!

Hammered

If Nietzcthe is a philosopher with a hammer, Jack Donovan is an acupuncturist with a nine inch nail fixed on your third eye and will hammer down his slick, sharp and simple point and you’ll come out of the book impregnated with his vision.

I wasn't disappointed.

Rarely does anything deserve 5 stars, but in this situation it is warranted. Great read!

Well done

This book addresses the ways in which we might begin to change ourselves, and, with Titanic struggle, our world to be more simmilar to the Men of old.

Articulate, bombastic & inspirational.

I’ve read almost all of Jack Donovan’s work in text format up until now. The opportunity to download this came after I’d downloaded the app for another file so rather than order a hard copy I thought I’d go for the audiobook. I was not disappointed at all. The powerful narration of the text makes it a vivid experience that I’m ready to listen to again as soon as I’d finished. In a more complete beast Jack weaves together themes from philosophy, mythology, & his own body of work to address a common mindset trap that men often fall into in the “empire of nothing”. It’s articulate, bombastic & inspirational. Not many writers speak as well as they write, I’d probably always go for the audio version of anything he releases first in the future & a paper copy as back up.

Glorious!

I find it very hard to listen to this without wanting to beat my chest, lift weights and bring my dreams into creation.

Thank you Jack for this book. It's men like you that are helping me be the man I want to be.

His best work yet

I’ve heard the others from his series. This is by far the best. My only lament is that it is toooo short. But man is it good, inspiring, moving, philosophical, poetic and confronting. Just incredible!
