Best love triangle & morally grey FMC

I love this duology and the story arc and character growth for the FMC is really well executed. This is also the best love triangle I have read, and it’s not usually my favorite trope. It was done incredibly well and it continued to be unpredictable. I’m a big Ella Fields fan and in the romantasy genre her writing is just superior to most other authors. Give the story time to build and you will not be disappointed!

DNF

I might have had different feelings about this if I read it instead of audiobook but I had to DNF. Did not hold my interest at all and was very confused the first couple hours of the book on who was who and what time period it was talking about .

Waste of a Credit

DNF. I'm only 5 hours in and I've had to force myself to keep reading several times. This book just absolutely dragged for me. I get the MC was not supposed to be a good person but there is not a single redeeming quality to her. She comes across as spoiled and petty the entire time. So, if that's not your thing, you're kind of out of luck because I couldn't tell you a single thing about either of the love interests or the world at this point. everything feels very bland and empty except for the MC who is just constantly the worst.

Forever in love

This story is what morally gray romantasy dreams are made of. I devoured this story, desperately wanting to know what was going to happen from page one! I absolutely adored the complexity of these characters, there were so many layers to this story and I was SCREAMING with all of the twists and turns. This story made me fall in love with Ella Fields and I will never get enough of this world, these characters or these stories. I have read this story three times (once via audio) and each time it hits just as hard and emotional.

Too dark

I had to force myself to finish this book because I spent a credit on it. Towards the end it gets better but the MC is hardly a redeemable character. There are parts that are definitely not for me especially parts about her father that were just vile and not needed for readers to understand how horrible he was. It’s slow paced and does not come to a good conclusion.
