Who’da thunk?!
So unexpectedly great. Truly a wonderful book. I personally love fantasy/sci-fi romances (preferably steamy). This one hit the mark.
My one disappointment was the Female Lead’s immature and selfish way of thinking sometimes, I had to skip through some of her inner monologues because yelling “ugh how blind are you?! Naive wench!!” In the office is frowned upon. However, the writer did a great job either way. Thank you for this :)
P.S female narrator - was okay
Male narrators voice made me want to purr <3

One of my favorites!!
I wanted to refresh myself before reading the next book and I was so excited to see it was on audible! Jenny Hickman has an unique way of writing retellings and making her characters authentic. The story is constantly propelling forward so you never want to put it down, or press pause! I cannot wait for book two! Zura Johnson has a distinct way of narrating these characters and brining them to life!! I was pleasantly surprised that to hear a male narrator who took the book listening experience to the next level!

Unique and fun
This was a very creative and fun new fantasy series. The writing was well done and pacing was slow enough to give enough details while moving quickly enough to keep you excited. I really enjoyed the listen!

Loved loved loved
I feel like I really needed this story to get me out of my reading slump. I love the story, narrator, and all the books in this series including the male character perspective books! I can’t wait for the last one from this series but I know I will be sad once it is done.
