Very entertaining

I liked this book a lot, couldn’t stop listening until I finished it. I was very entertained and intrigued. BUT the story feels kind of rushed and some things are very confusing to understand. I’m most of the time complaining about how many of the romantasy books are unnecessarily long and mostly filler, but in this case I feel this story could’ve benefited a lot if it were a duology. *spoiler* I really like that the main character falls for not one, but two villains haha

The twists are a treat!

I enjoyed the intriguing situation the MFC found herself in. Her strength and fire were fun

This book? It’s enemies-to-lovers, maybe? meets magical mayhem with a side of I can fix him delusion, and I was living for it.

Mildred, aka Dread, which is just the perfect nickname for someone who walks through life with sass, smarts, and zero tolerance for princely nonsense, is thrust into an arranged engagement with the Seelie Prince as part of a political mess she never signed up for.

Oh, and did I mention he despises her? Like, really, dramatically, wholeheartedly despises her. Naturally, this leads to years of snarky standoffs, sharp-edged flirting, and an uncomfortably intense obsession that neither of them will admit to.

Mildred isn’t here to play damsel. She plays the game like a warrior queen, quick-witted and sharp-tongued. As for Atakan? He’s the kind of morally grey that has you screaming into the void and bookmarking your favourite insults for future use. But let’s be honest… there’s always that maddening flicker of what if he wasn’t the worst?

If you love banter that bites, dangerous court politics, and heroines who refuse to break, you’re going to devour this.

The narration also adds so much to this book.
