Nick Trenton grew up in rural Illinois and is quite literally a farm boy. His best friend growing up was his trusty companion Leonard the dachshund. RIP Leonard.

Eventually, he made it off the farm and obtained a BS in economics, followed by an MA in behavioral psychology.

I liked how practical, easy to understand, and straightforward this book was. I was able to understand the practical application of the concepts, and use the concepts of this book to help me achieve my goals.

I love the concept of the book and learned a lot from it. Not a fan of the narrator, though. Was a little difficult to keep attention with his monotone voice.

I did not like this book or the narration. The narrator’s tone was often condescending and “judgy”. The script constantly changed between “you”, “one”, “oneself”, “the individual” and “they”. The author should have directed the book toward the reader and used “you”. It was very cumbersome and annoying to listen to.
