Lazy writing

The figurative language used is exhausting. By about halfway, I wanted to seal my ears shut to avoid hearing another "big cat, little cat" analogy.

Most of the advice is sound. Some of it made me want to shake the author, but again, that might have been the phrasing or metaphors used.

Some good, albeit anachronistic advice

There are a few gems but it's clear the advice was meant for generation x'ers living in a pre-internet world. Plenty of of factual inaccuracies and anachronisms (she uses the term "not in a coons world" at one point and refers to mistakes as "boners") hiding some legitimately useful advice. Must Read

Since listening to this book, I’ve come away with new tips and tricks. Although some seemed basic, others were quite enlightening. When I was able to put them to use, they worked well and I have noticed my social life improve.

Dated?

The information provided is generally good. The text though seems to me as if written by an 85 year old woman. many of the examples seem to be more in tune with 1960s or 1970s America. O
nce you get past that it is a good source of information.

Not genuine

I think the writer does not show a genuine interest in people but fake interest in order to get close those persons who can make a favor to you.

Best book I've listened to in awhile.

The skill taught in this books are essential to becoming a successful person in life.

good examples and lots of content

I liked how many examples the author used when illusrrating a point. It was a good listen, especially for an introvert

Not for everyone

If your social toolbox is small, this book will give you tips. Some are risky with heightened sensitivity to all forms of aggression and harassment.
