Are you looking for an unhinged Rumpelstiltskin retelling? If so, this is for you. This had me hooked from the start, so much so that I listened to it in one sitting. Cohen is adamant that Emily has taken something from him. He's so convinced that he has her chained in a basement until she can figure out who he is and what she's stolen. She has no idea who he is and has never met him before. He insists that she knows him, so she says to give her five days to guess who he is before he takes his revenge on her. He agrees. You guys, this one was so crazy! Cohen is supposed to be the bad guy here, but at times I was feeling sorry for him. Their backstory was intense. Cohen has his reasons, though quite unhinged, for doing what he was doing. This was just a wild, twisted ride. If you love a dark, stalker romance, just do yourself a favor and add this to your TBR! You'll thank me later.

The narration of this book was absolutely fantastic. Sean did a great job with Cohen and his growly voice. Maeve was fabulous, bringing emotion into Emily's chapters.

The storyline was good, and as twisted as it may be, it was hard not to like them both. Looking forward to the next one, as the plot thickened right at the end.
