Story0
In the charming town of Iller-Stream, Cornelli lives with her widowed father, who seeks to elevate his daughters spirits by inviting two so-called Ladies of Culture to keep her company during his business trip. However, their lack of genuine affection leaves Cornelli feeling isolated and disheartened. Just when her world seems dim, a visit from a boy seeking recovery for his health brings unexpected companionship and ignites a series of transformative events that help Cornelli rediscover joy and connection. Story2

‘It was a sweet finish after the bitter pills of floggings and bullets with which these same governments, just at that time, dosed the German working-class risings’. The Communist Manifesto is, perhaps surprisingly, a most engaging and accessible work, containing even the odd shaft of humour in this translation by Samuel Moore for the 1888 English edition.

Now as famous on radio and audio as they are in print, the adventures of that irrepressible and ageless schoolboy William Brown have been delighting both young and old for decades. Perpetually scruffy, mud-stained, and mischievous, he is a lovable scamp whose pranks usually end in disaster, for his harassed elders at least. With friends Ginger, Douglas, and Henry (The Outlaws), and the angelic, lisping, thorn-in-his-side Violet Elizabeth Bott, William has rightly joined the literary, and radio, immortals. This volume of Just William features the following stories: William Goes To The Pictures, William The Intruder, William Below Stairs, The Fall Of The Idol, The Show, A Question Of Grammar, William Joins The Band Of Hope, The Outlaws, William And White Satin, William’s New Year’s Day, The Best Laid Plans, Jumble.

Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens by J.M. Barrie. Peter Pan, the boy who refused to grow up, is one of the immortals of children's literature. J.M. Barrie first created Peter Pan as a baby, living in secret with the birds and fairies in the middle of London, but as the children for whom he invented the stories grew older, so too did Peter, reappearing in Neverland, where he was aided in his epic battles with Red Indians and pirates by the motherly and resourceful Wendy Darling.

Now, actress Lily Collins (The Blind Side, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones) brings new, youthful energy to Peter's magical adventures.
