Publisher's Summary

Rising star Zack Grantham has been stuck in a downward spiral of grief that has put his career on hold. Back on the road with the Carolina Cold Fury, still crippled by emotional baggage, and now a single dad, he's in need of some serious help with his son. But while the nerdy new nanny wins his son's heart, Zack isn't sure that he's ready for a woman's touch - even after getting a glimpse of the killer curves she's hiding under those baggy clothes.

Kate Francis usually keeps men like Zack at a distance. Though his athlete's body is honed to perfection, he refuses to move on with his life - and besides, he's her boss. Still, the sparks between them are undeniable, tempting Kate to turn their professional relationship into a personal one. But before she makes a power play for Zack's wounded heart, Kate will have to open him up again and show him that love is worth the fight.

Not as good as the first two books

The more I read, the more I Disliked Zack! I liked Kate at first, but the more I read, the more it ticked me off, because she was such a doormat for taking his crap. It ended OK but I would like to have seen him lighten up a lot sooner. I will probably just pass on Ryker's book.

Great listening!

This third audiobook in the Cold Fury hockey series was really well done. The hero, Zach, is still struggling with the loss of his long time girlfriend and mother of his son after a tragic accident. He has to hire a nanny for his son when it's time to return to practice and games. Zach's sister ends up choosing the nanny when he repeatedly puts it off and she's not what he expected. Kate, our heroine, is rather nerdy and frumpy (on purpose) and speaks her mind. At first they are wary around each other, but as time goes by their attraction gets harder to ignore. Can Zach heal enough to try to love again? Great narration!

Like it, but....

I’m really loving this series so far and liked Zack as much as the first two books. My only hang up is the fact that he falls in love with the nanny just four months after the death of his
long term girlfriend and mother to his son. Four months is a REALLY short period of time in my opinion, so if just made me see the main characters in a different light.

Nanny trope

Nanny trope ~ what more can I say? 😉 With the added bonus of adorkable Kate and brooding Zack.

The ending/HEA is a little abrupt, and some parts were a little predictable, but I find myself listening to this one over and over.

Chris Dukehart & Graham Halstead are great as 20-somethings and I enjoy their narration.

Love this series

The first two had me had me hooked . Zach and Kate have a lot to work through and at times I was frustrated with how he treated her and what she allowed herself to be treated that way. But I like the chemistry and the story was good. The performance was very good. I can not wait to listen to the next book!!

Fun series!

This was an entertaining read. Zack has lost his girlfriend and mother of his child and is struggling to feel something and move on. Kate is an adorable southern girl who is hired as his live in nanny for his son and has an adorable personality. I really liked Kate and her optimism, she came into Zach and Ben's life and immediately made it better. Zach needed to heal and get over himself so they could be in a relationship. The narration was great and there were some well done romantic scenes. This is a fun series and I'm looking for to Ryker's story!

Sweet sports romance (with less sports)

These books keep getting better. In this book, Zack, who lost his girlfriend, and mother to his son, to a car accident, needed a nanny. Kate is the perfect woman for the job- loving, adorably geeky, and so so sweet. Zack is so closed off but he opens up to Kate. But can he open up enough? Can Zack get over the guilt and open himself up to love again?

I really felt for Zack and Kate. Both are great characters even when Zack acted like a jerk but Kate, especially was written as such a wonderful character and I loved her. I wish I had a nanny like her for my kids- she was so cute with Ben, Zack's son. There wasn't much about hockey in this book and there was the introduction to Ryker who I really liked so I look forward to his book next!

I also listened to the narration and it was well done. The narrators, Cris and Graham, were the same narrators as in the prior books and they did a great job playing all roles and infusing emotion throughout the book.

Zack

So emotional but so good! Zack loses his long-time girlfriend and the mother of his son in a car accident in the previous book and Zack is in a spiral. Needing a nanny to help with Ben he hires Kate. She is not what you would expect but definitely what he needs. However, when he finally sees under her baggy clothes and chunky glasses his body wakes up and the chemistry between them is explosive. All he wants is sex and he keeps telling her that is all it is but will that be all it remains? Oh, these two are so cute and the roller coaster they are on is crazy. Definitely recommend this one!

As always...

This series has been phenomenal. All of the emotions and plenty of steam. I’ve adored all
of the narrators. I look forward to listening to the rest!! Would definitely recommend!
