Definitely “Had Me Fooled”!

Just when I thought I had figured out the plot, there was a twist. Then when I thought I knew what a character would say or do there was a turn. You had me fooled is perfectly titled. The story was told at a great pace, gave impressive details and even sprinkled in a little humor here and there. The ending is screaming sequel.

I would definitely recommend this book. I gave this book a 5 Star rating because it gave drama, suspense, love, betrayal and most of all it was realistic.

Engaging & Twisty!

Loved this story told from the POV of a black woman. Not many stories in this genre that feature black characters.

I thought I’d guessed what was going on but was surprised by the twist and it all seemed plausible not conveniently thrown together.

Narrator was very engaging and being a woman from Houston gave even more credibility to the voice of the character.

I’d definitely recommend to anyone who likes a low key whodunnit as well as characters who are imperfect. Also, don’t expect a nice tidy happily ever after with this one. It screams sequel!! (Hopefully!)
