Publisher's Summary

Pirateaba returns, bringing you the thrilling fourth instalment of chart-topping LitRPG series The Wandering Inn.

It’s still winter, but everyone’s on the move. Rags the goblin is heading north, seeking allies against the Goblin Lord.

And Erin is going home...or trying to, at least. She’s determined to bring back cheer to The Wandering Inn - as well as Christmas! But the coldest time of the year leads to strange encounters with a number of people.

At the same time, Ryoka Griffin is far from what she would consider to be “home”. Deep in the north, in the city of Invrisil, she finds herself as the guest of Magnolia Reinhart. She must carefully negotiate the good graces of the Deadly Flower of the North. Like Erin, her success depends on friendships made by meetings of coincidence.

Includes the story of Wistram Days, when Ceria and Pisces first meet in the Academy of Mages, Wistram.

the Wandering Inn

you know how every so often there's a book that you just can't put down.
I think I got all of an hour of sleep in the past 34 hours of listening to this.

Starting to get boring

The story is starting to get boring because it’s spends way too much time focusing on character actions that aren’t important to the story. Also the story is way too divided the only character that I actually care for is Aaron. And I do not like the goblin side even though it’s giving a lot of lore it is an interesting itself. don’t give me wrong I’m still going to continue the story but it is getting a bit annoying to having to skip five chapters at a time just for me to get to the parts I like.

Wistram Days

5 stars for Wistram Days alone. I was so sad none of it was in the last book, but I understand why and am happier that they are all together in this book.

A Must Listen for Fantasy Fans

Excellent writing. Excellent narration. Excellent storytelling. Excellent world building. Excellent character development.

The only negative thing you can say about pirateaba's world of stories are that they are almost too vast for their own good. Things can sometimes seem unfocused, and it can take hundreds of pages before you return to the "main characters" stories. I think The Wandering Inn would benefit from having certain books be divided into side novels or novellas (particularly the Wistram Days chapters), but it's really hard to complain because the quality of writing never dips. I enjoy every moment of Rags' story as well as every moment of Erin and Ryoka's.

Amazing addition.

The writing is amazing, and the narration only elevates that. It feels like I got an entire second book right in the middle of this one, and it was wonderful.

So I preordered this book and the book before it and was pleasantly surprised whenever this book showed up in my library. I am currently listening to the first chapter and I’m looking forward to finishing this book.

Yes, some parts are slow, but SO necessary!

This series gives me life. The last part was amazing. I can't believe it's over already. Now back to my sad life. LOL.

Wonderful

Always amazed by the level of World building. The individuals that Erin and Ryouka encountered stump me though. Not sure who they are

Mostly filler

Excellent narration, as always. Was disappointed that this book contained so much side story, over 8hrs straight of backstory for side characters at one point. Pre-ordered this as I enjoyed the previous books so much, this was not on par with them at all. Written well but not near as interesting.

Amazing book as usual but...

There are far too many side stories. I am a huge fan of Pirateaba I love the writing and all of the vivid scenes. I love the journey that we follow when listening to this book. I also enjoy getting to know the characters as if they were family. BUT... I want more of Erin and Ryoka. I want more (main story) progression.

Nonetheless this is a fantastic book. Definitely one of my favourite series. It's a must listen for all.

I've said this once and will say it 100 more times, Andrea Parsneau brings this book to life!
