Just as good as the first!

This series has quickly become my favorite in this genre hands down! The characters are so relatable and hilarious I just can’t stop listening and at 60+ hours in this novel alone there is plenty of bang for your buck!! I can’t wait for the next installment of this series!

A wonderful surprise in so many ways!

I read a lot of fantasy books A LOT. I mainly focus on sword and sorcery style fantasy from the classics to the epics low and high but I can't tell you the last time I enjoyed a series so much!
I think it's the narration that makes it over the top great. The writing isn't amazing or edgy It's just plain fun! The way the story is written and the delivery of the performance have left me with a smile on my face or laughing more often than I can remember in any books for years. I enjoy listening to the stories of each character but When the characters get together especially the main characters it's just a fun time!
Also to get such a long story in each book for such a low price and have it be this good is just an amazing value!

Amazing

it's incredible to find a series and specifically an audiobook on such a scale that you can feel daunted by trying to think back and attempting to encompass the whole experience right after listening.

I think this larger format in content and quality is what separates the truly epic series from the "just another fantasy book" books. In no way could this ever be just another fantasy book, this is an experience on the level of the narrated production for the Wheel of Time series, an end-to-end hand crafted tale from Pirate Aba brought to life by Andrea Parsneau.

Still Amazing

What can I say? I absolutely love the characters and the story line just keeps you riveted from start to finish. As for the narrator, I truly believe I could listen to Andrea read the ingredients off a box of cereal and be captivated with her performance! Too bad there aren't more stars to give.

Loved the second book even more!

The grand scheme of the plot is so impressive and it’s interesting to see how the author will connect everything.
The emotions the characters feel is communicated so well with the writing, and the NARRATOR!!! My god, she is SO. GOOD. The way she portrays the character voices and their emotions, especially the intense moments. So talented.

A lot of people are complaining about the politics brought up in the book. Honestly, I didn’t mind. I think the author was pointing out the fact that people (humans) will always find a way to bring politics up, even in a fantasy world where they’re no longer impacted by any of it. Didn’t break the immersion for me at all because it was a very typical Earth-person thing to do lol, and it happened in a CHAT LOG. Again, very typical in a funny way.

great voice actress!

Even though this is a long performance, it went by quickly due to the wonderful work of the voice actress. Characters were distinct and accents sounded real. A pleasure to listen too.

Very enjoyable

I don't know how I stumbled on this series, but I'm really enjoying it.

A tale of many people.

The way the author managed to keep track of the many threads of this epic tale is amazing. As this is only the second volume, things haven't really begun to branch out yet, which means it's quite pleasant to ponder when certain people might finally meet. The many layers make room for a large amount of plotting and scheming. My fear is that too many branches might make for a confusing read later on, before things are connected.

The narrator is very good at differentiating between people and races, the best I've heard so far. I enjoy every moment a new character is introduced and await the chance to hear their unique voice with much eagerness. In short, splendid work on character portrayals.

The best narrator for an amazing story.

Andrea Parsneau is by far the best narrator. She is one rank above all of my favorites. Pirate Aba wrote an amazing story with characters that I invest in and care for. Andrea Parsneau breathes beautiful life into all genders, species, voice effects and narration. Thank you both for your efforts, they have truly been appreciated. Well done.
