In Liscor, the election will result in a new group of leaders for the city. But is that for the better or worse?
The earth shakes with the consequences of unwary actions, both politically and in small ways. The book is too short
As usual this is yet another good book in The Wandering Inn series. And best of all … Bird is Back! he and his silly songs - if you haven’t listened to the books on Audible I encourage you to. When I got to the end of chapter 12 I was so disappointed in how quickly the story went. I’m looking forward to book 14 😀

Would like more focus on existing characters
Enjoyable, as always, but this far into the series, I’d like more focus on the many existing characters rather than introductions to new ones. The title character, the Empress, in particular had very little to do with the established characters and storylines. I didn’t mind that this book was a bit shorter since another one will be out soon!
