great audiobook. no audiobook for the sequel

Great audiobook. sucks there isnt a follow up audiobook. I fell in love with the characters and was thoroughly interested in the entire story.

A bit over empathetic

I honestly enjoyed the story and the main character, everything seemed to get worse and she would survive. But, the over empathy was a bit much. The chieftain scene and what followed really killed it for me. I quit reading after that point, I just wasn’t interested anymore in continuing the story.

Excellent.

This book was excellent. I really appreciated how long it was too. What I mean by that is that there are several parts of this book where the author could gave split it up into smaller books to get us to cough up more money and make this one of those bite size book series, where you end up spending like 100+ dollars to just get the resolution already! This author didn't do that. Its like three books of content here for one credit and I enjoyed every minute if it. The reader is great too, the characters all had distinct voices except in one case but its explained that those particular characters are suppossed to sound very similar. All in all very enjoyable, interesting likeable relatable characters, good fights good action, plenty of plot twists. 5 out if 5.

it's a girl in a big world learning how to handle herself, and friends.

honestly a great story so far.
but if adventure, bit if comedy, bit of tragedy, all fun.

Amazing

I bought the book but never read it. I'm Happy I waited for the audio book. This tale is much more than a slice of life. it seems to be the beginning of a true epic. I look forward to further releases.

its long and changes logically/plotwise back amd forth

the author doesn’t follow there own world logic ... sometimes rules can bent sometimes broken and sometimes strict but there is no bases on how that works. i mean can you call that a plot or litrpg when things can be changed willy nilly without any reason ... to me that breaks the genre and plot

too wordy

loved the content and the narrator was exceptional. But there were a few areas that had gotten so wordy that I actually would skip ahead slowly (don't want to miss anything good). My mind at times would wander at these areas. But overall the book was worthy!

i got the audiobook due to the length and trying to stretch my credits in quarantine. Was expecting something just to kill time.

Superb Narration Story not so much...😕😔

Starting with the positive, I must say this narrator is truly skilled. I was impressed by her wide range of character voices in her repertoire and flawless delivery. The story: The central character is a young human woman from Michigan. I say human because the world she unexpectedly finds herself in is one with sentient beings who aren't human. She is no longer in Michigan, nor even on Earth, and has no idea why or how she got to this strange world. She just suddenly finds herself running from a dragon and finds an abandoned inn where she takes refuge. Now for the negative. I knew going in that this would be a long story but went with it thinking it was perhaps some epic story that would keep me on the edge of my seat. Sadly, that wasn't the case. Not in the least. I guess it's possible this is a style of writing that has a certain audience, but I'm not a fan. For me the amount of time spent going into great detail describing mundane tasks was tedious and boring. I wanted to learn more about Erin, the main character. At the point where I quit the story, which was maybe half way, I still knew little about her. And the violence... I can accept the place violence has in adventure stories, but I find scenes like the one in this story depicting the suffering of a character who has been doused with boiling oil disturbing even if the character in question was a villain, and even if the reason is to get the reader to think about morality, life in all forms and the value it has. Find a better way. But I kept reading and another character dies, this time it's a good guy. I still kept reading... waiting for it all to somehow have a purpose... for the characters to develop enough depth that I could start caring about them. Somewhere around the halfway point I gave up. Disappointing.
