Kinsugi

It was so perfect! I couldn’t help shedding tears as it got me emotionally stirred. It was so full of love, self-acceptance, family, and friends. Of course Buddy made it all the more better! As a dog-lover, it touched my heart how Buddy found his home after being rejected again and again. The suspense was a nice touch and it wasn’t overly done where it overshadowed the rest of the story. It complemented the tale quite beautifully.

Wonderful, would love more audio books in this ser

I really enjoyed this story.
Both the human and furry characters were adorable. Buddy sounded like a wonderful pup and i fell in love with him as well as Willow and Caleb easily.

There were sparks but I loved watching how love transformed Willow and Caleb. . Even Buddy seemed to grow more confident as he found the right person to love and challenge him.
There was even some suspense.
This was a truly lovely heartwarming story.
The narration was wonderful, bringing the story to life.

I am also enjoying the other audio books in the series.

It’s a real shame all the books in the series aren’t available in audio, but i am hoping they will be some day.

I am highly recommending this novel.

Great Story & Listen🎧 Sweet & Entertaining!

I loved this story, it is well written, well told and completely captivated my mind from start to end. The storylines are original and there is great character development. When I first started the book I was not sure if I would like Willow, but that did not last long, I loved the direction the author took her character, the more you learn of her the more there is to like. And as Caleb found out you can not always judge a person by first impressions. Back to Willow, I admired her strength and determination to succeed despite the position she was put in and her circumstances. I loved how and why she chose to adopt Buddy, who turned out to be a star and a great side kick for her. When life threatening letters are sent to the station they hire her a bodyguard, the best in the business, Caleb. He did not want to take the job at first but took it after they tripled his salary. Despite their age differences and coming from different worlds there is great chemistry between the two. Wanting to remain professional he fights it. It was great how things played out between the two. Their story is a sweet one but there is no shortage of drama, angst and some frightening and suspenseful moments that moves you to the edge of your seat. Ann Omasta, thank you for this great story, I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I listened to the Audible edition, Sarah L. Colton is a terrific narrator and voice performer. She brings the characters to life, gives each their own voice and personality. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the great listen🎧

Gotta love dogs

Watching Willow is another wonderful story in the Gold Coast Retrievers series by Ann Omasta. The story features the unfolding saga of TV celebrity Willow Winks whose career pressures are heightening due to low ratings and the stars aging. Who comes onto the scene Buddy a loveable golden retriever. Buddy, considered not smart enough to be a service dog quickly falls in love with his new master Willow and vice versa. Unfortunately things go from bad to worse when the studio receives a letter threatening Willow and Buddy. The studio hires former Government agent Caleb to serve as Willow's and Buddy’s bodyguard. Caleb eventually takes the job as the threats continue and grow along with Caleb's feelings for Willow. The author does a great job of keeping who is threatening the dinamic duo a secret until the end as will I. I highly recommend this audio book and I look forward to listening and reading more of her stories.

A sweet romance

Willow is a local Tv star who has her own show. Due to low ratings , she was given a half hour dating show. She wanted to do something different to add appeal to the show. She decided to get a dog, Buddy A golden retriever. Buddy becomes the star of the matchmaking show. Willow and Buddy receive death threats after a few weeks. The producer hires Caleb, a former secret service agent, to be her bodyguard on and off the set. Feelings grow between them, but Caleb tries to keep it professional! This is a cute story of love, suspense. Having Buddy, allows Willow to develop emotionally, believing in herself and gaining confidence to open up to people.Sarah L. Colton is a terrific narrator and a pleasure to listen to.. She brings the characters to life, gives each character their own voice. I was gifted this audiobook in exchage for an honest review.

Enjoyable story

This was a sweet and enjoyable story. Loved this idea of a match making dog. Caleb and Winter were both great characters. Not too much suspense, not to much romance, and a clean story.

Romance with a bit of mystery

Watching Willow is a sweet story of self-discovery, romance, and drama with bits of humor and mystery. The sweet storyline, with it’s twists along the way, was easy to follow and Sarah Colton made listening an enjoyable experience.

A sweet romance with just a touch of suspense

This is a sweet contemporary romance featuring Willow, a middle age TV personality and Caleb, a slightly younger bodyguard. They meet when Willow's life in threatened and as it's a romance, well, you know someone is going to fall in love. There's a little bit of suspense thrown in to spice things up a touch, but there's no real mystery. So if you're looking for a true romantic suspense, keep looking.

The first couple chapters of this book were rough for me. It was laying the foundation of the story and introducing the characters. I couldn't stand Willow in those first couple chapters. But she definitely softened as the story went along... and thank goodness or else this review would be completely different. Considering the length of the story, there was enough character growth for Willow to keep me happy. What I really could have used was more growth and development of Caleb and their romance.

The narration by Ms Colton worked for me. Her pacing and diction were good and she injected enough emotion to make it interesting without being over the top.

It was a solid romance that just needed.... more in order to be a 5 star book for me. I'd be interesting in reading more from Ann Omasta and listening to more by Sarah L Colton in the future.

Best audible book ever

I loved this audible book. It kept my attention. The narration was awesome. The storyline was excellent. Can’t wait to start the next book in this series.

Short but amazing

The story and the narrator was amazing. Short but very sweet and enjoyable, would love to have heard more of their story.
