The Longest Second Chance Romance Ever!!!

I’ve heard of slow burn romances but, Unfinished Business was excruciatingly slow. When I tell y’all I was sick of Gabi, I was sick of her! She frustrated me so much. I get her wanting to be cautious because of the way Terrence showed his behind but, come on! It’s been five years! The man has changed, he’s apologized, and he’s gone above and beyond to show you he’s bout’ that grown man life but, Gabi is still on that I need time mess. She was the one sabotaging their happiness this time around because, she wouldn't let go of the past. Gabi is a prime example of biting your nose off to spite your face. She was willing to be miserable and unhappy just to “protect her heart” but, the heffa had no problem stringing Preston along and pretending with him. When she took that bracelet off the second time, I wanted to fight Gabi. We finally get rid of Michael only to have to put up with Preston and Sabrina’s petty and jealous selves. I have to give it to them, they played their rolls perfectly as the villains of this story. I really wish Uncle Bobby would’ve let Terrence loose on Preston because, he more than deserved to catch those hands. What happened with Gabi’s parents? I know she cut them off in book one but, it’s five years later. It would’ve been nice to get some kind of update on them and their relationship (or lack thereof) with Gabi. While they were apart for the majority of the book, Gabi’s relationship with Terrance is admirable. I loved how they were able to come together after the break-up and co-parent Joci like adults with no drama. I wasn’t happy with how long it took them to get to their HEA but, I can appreciate Gabi and Terrence's growth which allowed them a much deserved second chance. As frustrating as Unfinished Business was, it was still a great book. CCJ did such a beautiful job drawing the readers into Gabi and Terrence's story. Get into this series ladies and gents. You will not be disappointed.

Again the drawn out story drive me crazy

this second book was better than the first however what annoyed me was Gaby back and forth emotions. She was stringing him along the games she played was very childish, I get she got hurt but geez either get over it or forgive and not play games. Of course Jakobi and Wesleigh hands down my favorite narrators. Terrance idk is bookbae I know he messed up but not really he is a stand up guy.

Really good

A lot of twists and turns to get there, but this was the ending I was hoping for. Really enjoyed this series.

Better Than The First

When I saw that CCJ had written a part 2 for the same characters I was almost in shock, as she rarely does that. Sure, she will mention them in another book, but while a new book dedicated solely to the same people- naaaah! But when I tell you I am SO glad she did this for Gaby and Terrance!! Yessss! Admittedly, book 1 wasn't a favorite for me, but book 2 was so much better than the first that I listened to it all today and it was well worth my time! I felt a little bit of every emotion with this book and I was so glad to see that Gaby has grown up and tucked away most of those tears in favor of handling her grown woman business. I was happy to get a glimpse back into everyone's life years later and this book left this short series in a great place.

Oh, and as per usual the Dynamic Duo narrated the HELL out of this book!!! Bravo team- BRAVO!

Very sweet… glad CCJ wrapped this HEA in an affordable bow!

I have been obsessed with the characters from all my favorite authors, and multi-book series are my absolute drug of choice. However, the challenge of books moving to audio out of sequence, switching narrators between books, or waiting eternity for a follow-up installment can be excruciatingly frustrating.

This nice little 2-piece provided a satisfying hit for a lazy Sunday afternoon… up, down, and all around but satisfyingly efficient. I’ll be able to get some work done this week!

Wesleigh and Jakobi will always take my money every time… between the two of them and Nicole Small, I search for new releases by name only!

Absolutely Lovedddd

My favorite narrators so far so I gravitate towards more books that are read by them.

Loved the story and on to the next
