Publisher's summary

It all came down to me.

The one who followed the rules, never went looking for trouble - I kept to myself. I just wanted to take care of my family. To not constantly look over my shoulder, worried about the things that went bump in the night.

I just wanted to survive. But that wasn't meant to be.

As luck - or fate, or something - would have it, the trouble found me.

I followed a rabbit through the wreckage of a half-ruined world to get back what was mine, and wound up at the end of it.

In Wonderland. But there's nothing magical about it.

Contains mature themes.

Christina C. Jones really surprised me with this creatively modern spin on Alice In Wonderland! I loved the adult and futuristic twist to this enemies to lovers relationship centered around African Americans and only wish fairytales of this nature were always inclusive to “us” before now! Wesleigh Siobhan’s narrating was spectacular and Sean Crisden did not disappoint with his narration either!! My only issue was that Sean didn’t narrate enough of the audiobook. I loved how this version was so relatable to issues everyone currently face, such as self esteem, bullying, lost loves, and the importance of family and acceptance. Great listen!

Allison And Maddox Are Couples Goals!!!

Wonder was a pleasant surprise! I almost stopped listening to this book several times because, the story line is not something I would typically listen to. It definitely took me out of my comfort zone but, Wonder turned out to be a really good book. I don't know at what point it finally started to pick up. I just know I couldn't stop listening. I loved the urban grown folk, post-apocalyptic take on Alice in Wonderland. The mystery, suspense, and heated moments between Allie and Maddox were just so intoxicating! I absolutely loved them as a couple! The supporting cast of other characters were as equally entertaining. I hope there's a part two so, we can follow up with Nadia and Mosley. This book was everything! I would go as far as calling it an intellectual read. You won't be disappointed!

Two Thumbs Up!!!

I loved this book! The narration was top notch, and the storyline was awesome. An excellent adaptation of Alice In Wonderland, but with an urban, grown-folk, post-apocalyptic twist that touches on many societal issues of our time. Kudos Christina C. Jones!!! Now can we please get a part Two?!

Pleasantly surprised!

This book really exceed my expectations. I gravitate more towards fantasy & dystopia type fiction and rarely come across African American author & characters. I was engaged from beginning to ending. I wasn't ready for the story to end. The only moment that caused paused was the chosen male voice. Just didn't seem to fit the male lead. He's a great reader, just sounded out of place. Not a deal breaker. I definitely recommend. It's a good story line with well developed characters. Hoping there's a part 2.

Why did I wait so long…?

I kept this book on my wish list because of Wesleigh… and never purchased because I’m not a sci-fi, dystopian, futuristic type of reader. But waiting for new releases and sequels to drop forced me to look for something long enough to tide me over. Pleasantly surprised! Wesleigh can easily carry the male and female parts, but I got used to Sean in CCJ’s Sugar Valley series. He sounded a little newscaster-ish at first, but he finished well.
