Dark, unpredictable, and fantastic!

Filled with interesting, complex, well drawn characters, and dialogue so riveting that it is at times eerie, this one will definitely keep you guessing, make you think, make your wonder and then have you guessing again! The narration that brought this story to life had me mesmerized. It was beyond excellent! This is my second book by J.M. Walker and I am now officially a FAN!

Loved It

Great book, kept my attention all the way to the end, amazing audio delivery, loved it. Will be reading again, every chapter was received amazingly do recommend you give it a read.

This book combined two of my favorite things Mafia (we're not Mafia lol) and romance. The story line had some good twists and turns . the female narrator had to grow on me but overall a good read.

Thrilling

Holy mackerel this book was amazing. This was my first book by J.M. and I am hooked!! Incredibly written and plot with great characters and chemistry. What a thrilling ride!

OH! MAGAWD!! 🔥🥵🔥🥵🔥 SOOOO FREAKIN HOT! It's fast paced and melodramatic but it works with Veronica's narrating style. Both narrators were great but
Veronica's breath punctuated in my ears for a good portion 😬

This was an enjoyable book. Luther was determined to have Lexi and I really like that he craved her. Veronica Harder did a good job but I think Mark Harrietha's narration was great. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Unexpected Surrender

Unexpected Surrender deserves to be exhalted. Begins with a intriguing prologue which leads into a nectarous page turner novel that is highly effecting, super twisted with villainous activity sprinkled through the pages. Luscious erotic moments intricately weaved in all the right places. Flipping through the pages till the end Lexi & Luther's love affair is explicitly detailed with audacious love and trust. I adored how it ended. Another unparallel, unforgettable and spine-tingling by this talented author.

Veronica Harder, Mark Harrietha are both new narrators. With this dual narration I really enjoyed Mark's performance of Luther. Exactly how I would picture him.. His tone was perfect. I struggled with listening to Veronica's inflection as I didnt picture it as Lexi. I just didn't enjoy her portion as much.

I recommend listening.

Hot and Over the Top

This story is about a lady saving her brother by working off his debt as a submissive. The female narrator was ok but sounded more like she was reading the story. The male narrator was really good.
The story itself, I feel didn't have much of a plot. It was straight to it and was lacking some in the "pull me in and can't stop till the book is done" department. Some are not in it for the story and this book is for you. It was good overall and if you just want some hot sexy times I would definitely recommend.

A Gripping, Twisted & Intense🔥Ride! Awesome🎧📚🎧

J.M. Walker continues to wow me with this exceptional novel and an unexpected mind-blow of a story, one that grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it for the entire book. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are easy to fall for and care about too. Lexi Adams is trying to keep her family deli business a float, it is just her and her brother Charlie, he was helping her with the bills, but she quickly learns he has not paid the bills in months. She also learns he has gotten himself in deep with some shady people. Making matters worse, he owes them money and no other than the notorious Luther Knight comes looking for it and threatens Charlie. Lexi goes into protective mode and tells Luther to not harm her brother, that she will do anything to get him the money he owes him, Luther tells her he has a way she can repay him and leaves her with a contact to call. A desperate Lexi calls the number he gave her and instructed where to go, a place called ”The Club” where she will be trained and prepped for a master. Lexi is juggling several roles, working in the deli and trying to help keep her brother alive, the visits from Luther are not helping matters, they only confuse her more, she is not sure why or how but part of her wants him but the rational part hates him for wanting to kill her brother. This is such an amazing dark romantic suspense, the story is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, action, mind-blowing twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and some hot romance with a side of kink. J.M. Walker, thank you for another fantastic story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the terrific narration, Veronica Harder and Mark Harrietha are the perfect cast to bring these characters and their story to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that suited their character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable in every role they played and just as I pictured the characters to sound. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performance. These two are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this fantastic listen.
