It’s good.
It starts off slow but once you get into it it’s actually pretty good. It does end on a cliffhanger though. So I can’t wait to listen to the 2nd book.

What’s up with the ending
If you finish a series, then tie up the ends. This one just let things hang. Very disappointed!

There isn’t book 3 yet, BUT THERE WILL BE SOON!!
I read these books years ago and just recently listened to them again when and Ms. James mentioned the final book was in the works. I’m excited as I loved this series when I first read it and I love it again now!!
I can’t wait to find out what happens with Milo and Nick.

Goofy
The writing and narration are ok. The general premise of the story is ok. But the main character? Just flat out lame. Of all people on earth, why did the scout fixate on her? She is absolutely ordinary and average and all kinds of dumb. The scene in the storage closet with her cousin? I wanted to scream stfu at both of them. I mean, c’mon you’re being hunted, and someone just tried the door, and you then proceed to have a completely unnecessary lame-o gabfest. She irritates and annoys and asks and expects too much from everyone around her because she’s the only one who matters. In life snd death pursuits, all she can think about is making out with the poor guy trying to save her life. Even her love interest isn’t that interested in her. She makes numerous overt advances that he completely denies, even though the experience would add to his knowledge base. I needed something to listen to, this was free, otherwise I would have returned it immediately. Not worth a credit.

Series Incomplete.
Just so everybody knows, there is NO 3rd book. Being that it was originally published in 2014 and this is 2019, I’m guessing there won’t be one forthcoming. If you enjoyed this book, you’ll have to imagine your own ending.

Disappointed
I like the first book, but this one was a little bit more disappointing because it ended on a cliffhanger and there’s no other book. These books were written a few years ago, so I don’t know if Ella just decided to stop the series or if she plans on continuing later. I’m just glad I got these books for free because I would be very frustrated if I wasted a credit on it.
