Publisher's summary

It’s not in my nature to beg, but I’ll stay on my knees until I feel that flame sputter out. And then … I’ll rip the world to shreds.

I’ve tumbled into a darkness so deep it’s hard to see the light, my petals curling inward as I tip my face from the sun. Hide from my monstrous actions.

Traitor. Murderer. High Mistress.

My mistakes hunt me down, and I’m pulled into a political tug-of-war, balancing Ocruth’s welfare on the edge of a bloody blade. The moon is swelling, the weight on my shoulders is compacting, and my unfailing curiosity keeps weaving its roots in the wrong direction.

Horrible truths unravel, casting explosive light on everything I thought I knew. I’ll have no choice but to shed my morals and withering self-preservation and sow the seed of a plan set to bloom beneath a bloated moon.

One wrong move could destroy everything—destroy me.

Lines will blur, blood will spill, and I’ll learn how fragile I really am—at a cost far greater than I could have imagined.

Fate is a ravenous beast, and I can only run so far.

To Flame a Wild Flower is the third book in the Crystal Bloom series—a dark fantasy romance full of immersive imagery and breathtaking angst.

So Good!

This was amazing. I have read many books this year and this tops them all. I have so many questions though 😅

Enjoying the series, Anxious for book 4

Great story. When the male narrator reads some of Orlaith’s POV, it makes me slightly cringe. It takes me a minute to mentally think through “he sounds like a school boy mimicking a school girl”, to “focus on the story”. That might be personal preference. He reads the male’s POV beautifully. I wouldn’t oppose him just reading a male POV.

Beautifully Emotional

There was absolutely NOTHING to dislike about this book. It was absolutely amazing and beautifully written. The emotion in this book had me feeling the same way the characters did. The narration is top tier , there couldn’t have been better voice actors to choose. I need more of this series. Like at least three more books. Just saying….

People are sleeping on this series

Parker’s writing is exceptional, her storytelling is amazing. This is a slow moving series but once you get into it, you won’t be able to put it down, it’ll leave you crying and wanting more.

Great narration

I liked the book but disappointed I have to wait for the next one to come out, I thought this was the last book. It was beautifully written but sometimes hard to follow. Narrators did a great job.

Where’s book 4?

There’s so much to unpack in the first three books - I might have to re-listen. Great narration on both sides, but Tony Duran is a fav for male characters!

i enjoyed the first two books but this.

this book i found myself skipping alot and was only fully interested at the end sadly, after so many hours skipping so many boring unnecessary chapters. the author has something good here with roarden and the heroines story but too many people speaking their pov and I hate this as well and just other information we didn't really need it was like this book was stretched to capacity when it could of been shorter and to the point with this couple who I was very interested in from the start. all and all the narrators were amazing 5 🌟 and the story for this third book itself I give 3 🌟 . if another book comes out would I buy it at this point ? NO ! the ending kind of fell in a cliffhanger and well after all the time spent listening I won't waste my credit next time.

Unresolved

Characters left in hiatus. Plot lines dropped. Too many questions left unanswered. Narrators were absolutely fantastic tho.

Struggled to Finish

I enjoyed the first two books in the Crystal Bloom Series, but I struggled to finish this installment. I had a hard time keeping all of the characters clear in my mind; I just couldn't remember who was who, or what they did. After enduring chapter after chaper of confusing text and repetitive thoughts with no progress in the story, I considered giving up at 50%. But I kept going in hopes of achieving some degree of closure in the series. I am pretty sure I would have given up if I had been sight reading this book, but the narrators did a good job of keeping me somewhat engaged in the story. The last third of the book was actually pretty good, but I'm not sure whether or not I will invest anymore time or money in this series.
