Compelling story, but felt like only half a book

Narrator is fantastic! But if you take out the angst/sex, there was not enough action/plot for this to feel like a complete book

I love the characters and worlds JLA builds.

I think my only critique would be that I did hear some descriptions and characteristics that she uses for Poppy, Sera, and some other heroines in her other novels but that’s just something I picked up because I enjoy her books and have reread some. Also, the way the two characters relate is also very similar to how her other main characters/love interests relate in her other novels. It reminds me of how an actor could get typecasted into a role. But instead of actor its the main characters.

Calista is an interesting character and I am excited to see what role she plays in the oncoming troubles in her world. I really like this take on the ‘future’, it was unexpected and I enjoy being surprised. Thorn is a multidimensional character whose development will be fun to see. I enjoy their banter. I am excited for more world building and I hope the next book is as enjoyable as this one. JLA has a lot of talent in her creativity and I love seeing that.

Phenomenal

I devoured this book. Spectacular it had me entranced from the first to the last page! Jennifer L. Armentrout is my favorite author and she constantly is blowing it out the water. cant wait for book 2!!

Read it

I have only read the FBAA series from Jennifer L. Armentrout but I’d been seeing teasers for this one and it did not disappoint. I loved it and can’t wait for the next one to come out.

Loved this book!

This has been one of JLA’s best books. Now we have to wait for the next! I wish the whole series was released at once.💕
