This should’ve been 5.5

Okay I love the entire blood and ash series. Along with Jennifer. Shes one of my favorite authors. However, this is not book 6. This should’ve been 5.5… it’s just a recap of all the books. I’m so sad and disappointed.. I’ve been waiting to see what will happen next.

Boring recap of previous books

As others have stated- this is simply summarizing what happened in the previous books, but from several “perspectives”. Which felt frustratingly redundant. I had high hopes, because I LOVE the series. But this was a big disappointment.

Good narrator

This was just a retelling of the books with a couple “Willa” stories thrown in. Would have rather had a continuation of the books.

It does say compendium in its title

I bought these books in a hurry being fully engrossed in the story and then I started to listen to this book, I wish this wasn’t labeled as the sixth book in the series.

Recap really not needed.

why

I get that not all people have listened to the books basically back to back, but this is just unnecessary, if you are someone who is broke and just wants the next actual book because you know it's left at a very interesting place in the last book, I liked it because it was a least giving an almost needed point of view but this is just not necessary at all. Waste of my money/credits
