In illuminating the nature of this shift in consciousness, Tolle describes in detail how our current ego-based state of consciousness operates. Then gently, and in very practical terms, he leads us into this new consciousness. We will come to experience who we truly are and learn to live and breathe freely.

Story
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Sorry but didn't like it at all
it rambles to much for my taste and doesn't enlighten you at all. I really thought it was going to have some special meaning but for me it didn't.
It picks a point and goes over and over and over it that it makes you skip through it.

The author begins with "facts" not supported by any credible research, and uses every logical fallacy to reach conclusions about solving all manner of physical and mental ailments. Use the word "ENERGY" in place of science you don't understand, and feelings that are uncomfortable, and you will have written the sequel to this book.

There are much better books out there
I bought this book because of the great reviews but unfortunately I didn't get much out of it. If you have not read any other books of this genre then it may appeal to you but much of the material has been addressed already in a more substantial, mature way by other authors (Tolle, Chopra). I found this book to be very, very repetitive and at times felt like yeling out "I get the point'. I also found it to be quite immature in it's examples and logic for example: "Do you think God likes to be around people who are happy or people that are miserable" Imagine you are God and you pop down to earth and ask the first person you see, do you like it here?
So overall I would not recommend this book.

Horrible Book!
This is a book based on magical thinking, and oversimplification/invalidation of the real difficulties of life. According to this book, if you don't have lots of energy for some reason--even if it's because you have a serious health issue such as chronic fatigue, just "decide" to have loads of energy! Boom. Problem solved. Don't waste your time on this ridiculous book.

Repetitive. Repetitive. Repetitive.
I purchased this book after rave reviews from multiple sources but I couldn't get through the first 3 chapters. The author simply repeats ONE idea and talks in circles. How this turned into a whole book that people loved, I have no idea. Here's the whole book : The conversation in your head is you having a conversation with yourself. Stop letting it talk and narrate every moment of your life.

Esoteric mumbo jumbo
This book might come across as deep to hippies, and other types - who are currently tripping on acid. BUT, for a logical, rational, and practical person, it makes zero sense. There are literally NO practical steps or calls to action in this book. It's pseudo phylosophy at its worst.

Wow, what a book!! Truly amazing insight!
I started listening to this book and very early on my energies rose up within me.
The following day after listening about a third of the way into the book (and after patting myself on the back for being able to see myself the day before!!) I became distracted and believed I had to put lots of thought into the following days 'problems' instead of having time to finish listening to the entire book... Now, only for the purposes of this review and with no reflection on the effectiveness of the teachings/showings (Not giving energy to perceived mistakes etc)... WHAT A MISTAKE I MADE THAT DAY!! 🤣 Though without the complete insight from the rest of the book since then I wouldn't be able to write this review as I'd still be lost in layers and layers of my mind whilst believing it to be real and me again!
Already started listening for the 2nd time around as I'm still too easily distracted and back in I go again (mind/Illusion).
I am okay with being happy by being in the present moment as much as possible for now, while I continue to create the muscle memory of my awareness so to speak. Still some momentum from years of believing the Illusion, though from within the Illusion to be able to step back out/in it is so helpful. Plus from any seat/perspective, this is another truly amazing experience to be fully enjoyed in its entirety.
Just in case my ramblings are too long winded, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!
Thank you Michael A Singer,
with much love from me to you, all!

Descended into a religious sermon
This started out well with reasonably good advice and insightful information about the merits of yoga, mindfulness and meditation for dealing with anxiety, depression and that angry inner saboteur. I became less connected with the text though once it revealed it’s true intentions which was basically a prolonged religious sermon about the so called virtues of faith and belief in a relationship with a god. This undermined some of the actual wisdom in the text.
