But when Em’s troubled past catches up with her and nearly destroys the romance budding between her and Deacon, her instinct is to run again. Except there’s magic in the mix now, and the town won’t let her leave. Only Deacon can save her, but can a cursed man clear her name...or will her history destroy them both?

Fun Listen

It was a fun listen, but not my favorite from Kristen Painter. I'm not sure if I love Shadowvale as much as Nocturne Falls, but I'm still looking forward to the next installment.

Wrong narrator

The narrator would be better suited for a children’s book. I almost couldn’t make it though the story because of him. He’s not a bad narrator per say, just not the right one for this genre. I may pick up another book by this author but not if the same narrator is used.

Fabulous!

Wonderful story. Wonderful narration. A joy to indulge in this first story in Kristen Painter’s newest series.

amazing

The reader was amazing the story was so great! I loved it all! It really felt like I was there. I couldnt just listen in the car I had to listen at home just so I could keep going lol!

Really great begining to a new series

This book was a fun listen! B.J. Harrison did an amazing job narrating made it relaxing to listen to. Loved this book! It is the first in a new series Em and deacon are the main characters in this story. Shadowvale is a special town providing sanctuary to many types of supernaturals and cursed people good storyline kept me interested throughout really looking forward to listening to more in this series.

Great new adventure

This is a fun take on paranormal figures. I am going to buy all of the series.

Love it

I thought after I read all the Nocturne Falls books I couldn’t like anything I liked as much; however, Shadowvale is just as enjoyable. BJ Harrison’s narration for both series definitely makes a difference.

But..

I feel like this could’ve gone a different direction. I’m not dissatisfied with how it went, but I do feel that it could have gone differently. I also hope to see more of Gracie, but I don’t know that that will happen in the two other books, in fact I suspect it won’t. Another missed opportunity.

Absolute fun

An endearing and exciting read. Full of laughs, gasps, fun and of course magic. I recommend to anyone looking for something heart-warming and entertaining.

Great Book!

I have actually listened to all 4 books in this series and I love all of them. I hope there is a 5th one soon.
