Surprisingly Good! Could not stop listening !

I enjoyed this audiobook thoroughly! It kept me engaged . I loved the characters. There is only one thing I didn’t care for but I will not disclose that so as not to ruin the ride for new listeners

The title lives up to it's name

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

yes if he or she were interested in this subject because the book was very well written andit had a variety of characters.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Tyler Greenwood . this character had it all a nice family money basically the perfect life , but while on a camping trip he encountered something in the woods that mainstream science refuses to except is real sends Greenwood on a downward plunge of self destruction while he searches to prove that what he saw that day is real, show ing how you can start out at having it all and next thing you know the least little thing can change your whole life upside down if you let it get that far.

What about William Dufris’s performance did you like?

I thought the overall book was very well written I liked the storyline amd I am a fan of the book subject so I thought the author really did an exhalent job on researching background material. I would like to see more of his works if possible.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I could try , but at 7 hours it would be pushing it, definitely could get past half of it in one setting though

Any additional comments?

definitely a keeper although some of the killings were predictable you just knew once some things were set in motion it was a given, I like at least some unpredictability or maybe I just ask for too much anyway a pretty good book Thanks audible Roy

Great narrator and fast paced Bigfoot horror story!

I had initially thought that the narration lacked something that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. But as the story went on I realized that this narrator was actually great at doing all the voices (including the ladies and Ben, the Native American man) but the main character’s. It wasn’t that he wasn’t good enough for voicing his character, I just had different expectations for what I expected the manly main character to sound like, but overall this voice actor did an excellent job. Story itself was good also. You can tell that it was written in the early 2000’s which took me back to my 20’s, during a time when we didn’t understand cultural bias. This book covers some interesting topics in that it calls the Native American, an Indian and brings in the cultural stereotype that they had a much deeper connection with the Earth and the animals who live here which wouldn’t be considered “woke” now. But putting aside some of these issues the story is a good horror creature feature that isn’t afraid to get its hands dirty. The story keeps a good pace and gives the reader not only the 1st person perspective of all the major characters but also of the creature itself, providing a unique perspective into its motivations. All in all this book is a great story that should be enjoyed by anyone who loves a great horror story featuring an iconic creature from legend!

Another one worth the purchase

Okay, the character building was a bit thick in the beginning but well worth it. I am going to listen to it again because it was terrifying and gruesome. You like big, furry, and very smart cryptids you'll probably like this one. I know I have it in my favorites.

If Bill Clinton narrated books...

the story was good enough but the truly mean spirited death of the reporter and the narrator making a quarter of the characters sound like Bill Clinton were... not so great.
