Publisher's summary

After 50 years of hibernation it has awakened. Oak Grave Forest was a place of beauty. A paradise full of gorgeous wildlife. An outdoorsman’s dream. Until now.

A string of disappearances puts the police on high alert. Animals are found mangled and stripped of flesh. People enter the woods and never return. Blood covers the autumn leaves. And the forest is unusually quiet.

With dusk casting its gloomy shade over Oak Grave, Shane Alter leads a band of police officers into the forest in search of the missing persons. What they find, instead, is a carnivorous humanoid. Its eyes are full of hatred, its body full of hunger, and its blood full of murder.

Great classic creature thriller

Story really reminded me of the old creature horror movies from the 70s and 80s. The narrator does a great job on doing different voices so it's easy to tell who's who.

Beware of the Bigfoot

The Blood of the Bigfoot by Michael Cole is a fantastic creature feature. I really liked how unlike a lot of other of Cole’s books that take place over several days. This one takes place during one night reminding me of most horror movies. The plot is very well written with the police go to investigate something and get stalked and hunted by a creature aspect. There was never a dull moment. I enjoyed all of the characters in this story. As for the creature of this story Bigfoot he was terrifying. He showed not just intelligence and strength but pure malice at times. The narrator Adrian M Lopez did a great job telling the story overall. All in all I would recommend The Blood of the Bigfoot to anyone who likes horror or a good creature feature book.

Fun and Terrifying

Starts slow and pay off is worth it. Michael Cole’s monster books are a guilty pleasure.

Narrated lively and engaging terrifying story

I commend this narrator. Not many have such a pleasing voice tone and pitch. He was engaged with the story, defining characters and lively way of storytelling. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat with each chapter more terrifying than the last!

A very different approach

Finish the story. Where is book 2? Can't end like that. They need to finish the job.

Just NOPE

First this is supposed to be a Bigfoot story and just because you call it that doesn’t make it so. Heck even the characters call it Sasquatch through out the book, pick one Bigfoot or Sasquatch. I did finish it only because I’m was interested to see just how far weird it would go. I would pass on this if a true Bigfoot story is what you like. Lots of gore and just way out there stuff. Almost like the author watched a bunch of horror movies and took from each one of them. I’ll be returning cause even for the laugh value it’s not worth it.

Read next paragraph for a few spoilers……

Okay there is gore and a lot of it. If you ever watch a Jason horror movie you know his thing with sleeping bags and smashing people into trees well happens here a lot.
The start says 50 years has past since he was last awake so he’s hibernating like Jeepers Creepers I guess. Eats everything in sight then goes back to sleep. Also parts of his body are like decaying, or rotting so kinda like a zombie Bigfoot. Then you have the fact that if the blood of the “Bigfoot” 🙄 gets into your system like a cut you start turning into a Bigfoot, oh and animals are effected too.
Okay so now Bigfoot’s are virus based. Bigfoot is shot tons of times chest, arm, head nothing but makes him mad. Hit with a truck no problem, set on fire still okay, then just gone.
