Plagued by spiritual anguish, devout everyman Christian fears his fate in the sinful City of Destruction. He’s told that only by embarking for the Celestial City can he achieve personal salvation. After his wife and children refuse to join him, he sets forth alone into the unknown. Story
Charlotte Mason looked at the world and saw that it was governed by universal laws, such as the law of gravity. Then she wondered. What if there were similar laws that governed the way people learn? If we knew what those laws were, we’d be able to pursue education along the most promising lines. She devoted her life to finding the key principles of education and then developing methods to make the most of them. These principles are for everyone concerned with teaching and learning.

Story
Shakespeare's most sophisticated comedy is a riotous tale of hopelessly unrequited passions and mistaken identity. Duke Orsino is in love with the noblewoman Olivia. She, however, has fallen for his servant Cesario, who is actually Viola, a woman disguised as a man, who loves Orsino: Confusion is rife. Meanwhile, Olivia's arrogant steward Malvolio is cruelly tricked by her uncle Sir Toby Belch, his friend Sir Andrew Aguecheek, and the maidservant Maria into believing his mistress loves him.

Publisher's summary
Fans of The Pilgrim's Progress Part I will be delighted to learn that Christian's wife and four sons repent of their former hardness of heart and set out after after their father in quest of The Celestial City.
However, in this pilgrimage there are six pilgrims rather than one and added to all the new circumstances to be encountered along the way create a totally new mix.
Stir in a little romance, three extra giants, several moments of heroic faith and familial tenderness, and you'll understand why some claim to like Christiana even better. However, we're confident that you'll join them in declaring this production to be the most listener-friendly dramatization of John Bunyan's immortal sequel anywhere on planet earth.
Originally published over 300 years ago in 1684, Christiana has never been out of print and has been translated into over 200 languages.
This production of Christiana has been scripted for ease of listening by Jim Pappas and is narrated by the late Elton Wallace. The voice of Christiana was masterfully interpreted by Linda Pappas with Howard Clemens voicing the part of Great-heart. Musical backgrounds were created by Jeff Wood and John Johnson to complement the vocal interpretations of 56 skilled interpreters.

Story
Grace Evans, an overworked New Yorker looking for a total escape from her busy life, books an Airbnb on a ranch in the middle of Wyoming. When she arrives at the idyllic getaway, she’s pleased to find that the owner is a handsome man by the name of Calvin Wells—and he’s eager to introduce her to his easygoing way of life. But there are things Grace discovers that she’s not too pleased about: a lack of cell phone service. A missing woman. And a feeling that something isn’t right with the ranch.

Story
In the heart of the South Pacific lies Point Nemo, the most desolate and remote place on Earth. At its core is a dead zone, devoid of life, where government agencies crash their obsolete satellites and space stations, confident they won't harm a soul. When the International Space Station suffers a catastrophic failure and plummets through the atmosphere, it's here that Mission Specialist Julie Rohr, an astrobiologist studying living space dust called xylem, finds herself marooned. Julie's only hope for rescue lies in the hands of her estranged father, Dr. Finn Maddern, a renowned mycologist.

Story
The doorbell rings, just days after my beloved husband’s sudden death. I don’t recognise the woman on our doorstep, with her blonde highlights, a diamond bracelet identical to my own and a bouncing baby boy in her arms. As I show her inside, I notice her eyes grow wide as she takes in our spacious hallway, and the big squashy sofas that we all used to pile on. She glances at the silver-framed family photos and my little daughter hiding behind my skirts. She looks at me, her blue eyes serious. ‘I’m sorry’ she says. ‘I am your husband’s girlfriend. And this is his son.'

Story
When the call came it seemed like the answer to my prayers. My career as a voice actor had been over for months and me and my little girl Scarlet were living back at my mum’s place. I felt like a failure professionally—and with Scarlet having problems at school, as a parent as well. So, when I was asked to narrate a new book by disappeared novelist Philippa Roberts I jumped at the chance, even if it meant leaving Scarlet with my ex, Hugo, for a few weeks. Hugo, with his perfect new home and his perfect new girlfriend Saskia. But this isn’t a dream come true. It’s a nightmare.

So Relevant for ANY Era!
The Word of God is ageless and so is this book by John Bunyan. I listened to this production when I was a child and now my children: 9, 7 and 4 years old also had this rare opportunity.
Listening to it together allowed us to stop and talk, pray, (sometimes cry) and thank God for the Truth of His Word.
This is an excellent rendering of this story. It is powerful for any age and everyone gets something deep from it.
If you are looking for something to help drive your faith deeper for you or your children, this is it!

Highly Recommended! Demands multiple listening.
Well written and ably performed by most.
Inspirational with MANY lessons on struggles and joys pilgrims must meet on their journey to the Celestial Kingdom! Highly recommended!
Would heartily welcome a remastering of the background which is much too loud in many places.
