Publisher's Summary

Fifty-five years ago, Helen L. Taylor took John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress and simplified the vocabulary and concepts for young listeners while keeping the storyline intact. The result was a classic in itself, which has now sold over 600,000 copies.

It's both a simple adventure story and a profound allegory of the Christian journey through life, a delightful listen with a message kids ages six to 12 can understand and remember. A new look for today's children enlivens the journey to the Celestial City.

Wonderful!

My oldest read this a few years ago and with the movie coming out I thought it would be fun to read through it again with my younger three. They all loved it, ages 7, 10 and 11. The movie was enjoyable as well.

Listened to while on the tractor, great rendition!

Spent the day doing tractor work and paused it for breakfast and lunch picked right back where it left off. Great performance by the narrator, enjoyable story that was valuable for a very meaningful family discussion about the battle over Giant Self. Jahova is King! in Jesus name!

7 year old loved it

My 7 year old loved the storyline and listens to it each night. Voice narrative is not boring and engages her mind. She asks questions like Mommy is faithful good or bad, is despondency good or bad, what is Piety? It is a gateway to christian thinking and character traits she is starting to process. I watch her grow spiritually and love every moment.

Pilgrims progress.

I loved the end of the story so much because I love the bit where Cristina goes through the river. I would like to go to the place Christina's little sister goes. Jesus went to see her.

My favourite book, so well read!

This is a prefect recording for such a wonderful book for ages 4 -100. It's easily relatable and understandable whilst keeping the sincerity of the original by John Bunyan.
