Publisher's summary

The only reason Lauren entered the Hashtag Hunt was for the $10,000 grand prize. She needed seed money for her startup, and it sounded easy enough: 12 hours to text 12 photos to someone called the Wizard. For hashtag number five, Lauren needs a #HottieInTheWild, and with the help of her best friend, Ivy, she finds the perfect subject.

The only reason Brenner entered Barkley’s Pub was to have beers with Scott, an Army brother back in town. The reunion is interrupted when a woman is caught crouched in a dark corner, taking pictures of Brenner. Lauren explains, and though embarrassed, she accepts Scott and Brenner’s offer to help with hashtag number six.

While hunting for hashtags, Lauren finds adventure and romance with her #Hottie, but she must stay focused to beat the clock and win the cash.

Fun & Quirky RomCom

This was such a fun, light listen. I really enjoyed the dual narration by Emmes and Paige. I thought they captured each other's portrayal of the MCs.

Lauren and Ivy are BFFs and a really fun duo. I honestly felt like I was a part of their group on this hunt. BFFs Brenner and Scott are also a riot. I love how they were totally living in the moment with their new found group of friends. The author, Kristina Seek keeps things light. I was pleasantly surprised by the added character dimensions to Brenner and Scott with their military backgrounds. It was a nice change from the norm of emotional traits/issues and physical characteristics. Bravo

I won't waste time by re-hashing the summary offered by the Publisher, but be warned...once you start listening, you won't want to stop!

Mature Content: mild language sprinkled here and there (IMHO). No sex or violence

An amazing book

OK, First I want to say the storyline was very well thought out and very entertaining. I was very much into the story and didn't want to stop listening till the end. So Kristina Seek did a great job I totally enjoyed her book. Now about Narration, I do not want to take anything away from Time Page he is a very talented narrator, but having 2 narrators was confusing for me. I thought Andrea Emmes did an excellent job and with her voice, she can do male or female voices to an extremely realistic level. I would have preferred that only Andrea Emmes voice was telling this story. I truly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

So very enjoyable

I loved this book. I listened to it on audible and was completely engaged. It was fast paced and exciting. It was also unique, quirky, and humorous. So basically everything I look for in a book. Plus a dash of romance but still clean. And I love the safety factor that she added in instead of having the characters just rush off with unknown men. That made me love it even more! All in all I give this book high marks and high praise. The author did a great job and the readers were great too. It’s a quick read and I highly recommend this book.

I Want to Play!

Written around a photo scavenger hunt, Hashtag Hunt made want to play along. I continually found myself wondering where I would find the items and who I would enlist for help. This story was a lot of fun with a little romance thrown in. The only critique I have is I’m still not sure how the underground eatery plays in, but the idea was great and the writing certainly made me want to be there too.

This is defiantly a book I would recommend for easy reading or on a car trip with friends. I could see pausing the story to discuss where you would find the particular items before continuing on with the story at hand.

I was provided with a free copy of this audio book for my honest review. The views expressed here are entirely my own.

Different

I downloaded this book because it had a different concept. It was a romance, for sure, but set against the backdrop of a hashtag scavenger hunt. That was interesting to me.

There was some confusion (for me) in the beginning because I had a hard time telling which female was actually on the hunt and which hottie belonged to whom. For the record, Lauren is on the hashtag hunt and her hottie is Brannan(sp); Ivy is the friend and her hottie is Scott/Sully. (You will thank me for that clarification.)

The story is boy meets girl with some really cute moments. There were some silly ones too. I was kinda let down by the ending but I will save that for you to decide.

I liked the narration well enough but at times there was no clear distinction between who was talking. I got confused from tme to time.

Quick and fun adventure

I didn't know much of anything about this going in, but it was an incredibly fun adventure that takes place all in one night. We follow Lauren who is competing in The Hashtag Hunt. Along the way she meets new people, has some adventures that are a little out of her comfort zone and finds new friends.

There are definitely some elements that you have to suspend disbelief for, but this book was so fun I had to give it five stars. It was that good based on enjoyment alone, while also briefly touching on some heavier subjects regarding the individual characters.

All in all this was a great time and I would definitely pick up other books by this author.

Great Read

The Hashtag Hunt was a great read by Kristina Seek. Lauren entered the Hashtag Hunt in order to win the $10,000 grand prize. She wanted to start a business but needed the prize as her seed money. The Hunt lasted for twelve hours and she had to text twelve mission photos to the wizard. Number five is her finding a #HottieInTheWild and her and her best friend find the perfect hottie, Brenner. Unfortunately Brenner and his friend catch her in the act. After confronting her, they decide to help her with her hunt. I loved reading Lauren and Brenner's story. Andrea Emmes and Tim Paige did a great job of narrating the characters. I can't wait to read more by Kristina Seek.

Great Story! Great Audible Listen🎧 #WTG

This is an original story, a fun and adventurous one! Kristina Seek is a new to me author, I enjoyed her writing style and the storylines she created, they captivated my mind from start to end. The characters in this book are likable and well developed. I liked Lauren’s determination and dedication to what she wanted as well as the friendship and bond she had with Ivy. And hello #Hottie, Brenner and Scott, it was great how they met and how good they were about it and Lauren’s mission. I was glad they jumped on board and loved how easy they all got along. Kristina Seek did a great job plotting out the #scavenger hunt and incorporating the getting to know you for these two couples. And she kept it real, giving a glimpse of Brenner’s PTSD and what Scott went through, all tastefully done. I highly recommend this book, it is a great start to a new friendship and romance and possibly a series (hint) I adored these great characters and am hoping there is more to come from them. BTW, loved the twist and reveal of who was behind the #Hashtag Hunt. Thank you for this great and entertaining story!

I listened to the Audible edition, Andrea Emmes and Tim Paige are awesome narrators and voice performers. They bring these characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality. You hear the emotions of the characters and the drama of the story projected in their performance. Each are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen🎧.

Fun, easy going book

Really enjoyed this book, new author for me.

I’ve taken part in Scavenger Hunts similarly to this and it’s a lot of fun. Made me laugh and remember past hunts and wish that I had a group of friends to help me out for them.

I didn’t know what to expect going into this book and found it was an exciting adventure following along with Lauren and her friends. Loved the telephone booth and the secret it leads too! It would be great to experience all Lauren, Brenner, Scott and Ivy did in this story.

Thought the narration was great and love that both Andrea Emmes and Tim Paige are new to me. I’m turning into an audiobook junkie and just love spending time with a great audiobook.

If you come across this book and think 🤔 this sounds interesting. Believe me it’s a fun experience following this group around as they help Lauren work towards the grand prize of $10000. It’s well worth a credit and it’s a nice easy romcom without the angst with some light hearted romance.
