Publisher's Summary

Oliver London has no problem standing stark-ass naked in front of a group of strangers. As a figure model, it's afforded the nearly starving artist the time and means he needs to paint.

Stori Ryder runs one of Manhattan's most popular speakeasies, Whiskey River. She's focused on her career and intent on securing a stable future after an unstable past.

Fourteen years ago, the high school sweethearts parted on a sour note. When best friends invite them on a fabulous French Riviera wedding cruise, Oliver and Stori remember what it was that drew them together all those years ago.

Love reunited

Loved this story. Oliver and Story have a second chance at romance. They each have their own dreams and let downs. This book has a great cast of characters especially Louise. Love the narration.

My Two Pennies

Wen and Kai have me hooked. Their performance is always spot on and Wen did great with the accents when needed, I love how Kai is able to separate the different female voices so well too. Oliver and Stori give us a great second chance romance filled with a soft mix of love, laughter and even a bit of drama. The Whiskey River sounds like just the place I would love to go and get a drink and just hang out and that trip to the French Riviera... oh my goodness. Great story and I’m hoping to read more in the future with the others characters we had got a taste of, there’s definitely some stories that I need to hear.

second chance

So much interference in the young love that ut made me heart sick. I was happy they reunited and talked it out. Honesty is the best policy. Piper was so narrow minded and interfering that I wanted to smack her. How could she be so heartless to tell Oliver to leave a sick animal/family member??? I liked how both main characters resolved their problems and still stayed together because they loved each other and supported each other's interests. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job.

Wonderful

Love this “find each other again” story. The relationship is believable and the pets make great supporting characters. A fun romp.

The duet narration is special. So nice to have each part always done by the same voice. Wen and Kai did an amazing job of seamless back and forth. Totally enjoyable!

Enjoyable second chance story

Oliver is an artist trying to figure out how to make it to his paycheck. Stormi has had struggles in her life but has now built one of the best speakeasys in the city. When their friends ask each of them to join them for a dinner out, they are amazed to see each other. They were high school sweethearts that lost touch with each due to circumstances beyond their control but their love never really died. This was a good second chance story. As always, I also enjoyed the narration with Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott.

a nice second chance romance

A very sweet romance with two characters that both have had less than the best of luck. The performance was solid and they work very well off of each other. A very seamless duet style narration. The overall story got a little slow at times but was still very good.

Loved this second chance romance!

Stori and Oliver missed out on their chance at romance when they were teens. They unexpectedly meet up again as adults as they get ready to travel for mutual friends wedding. Love how they rekindled their romance - they are just such great characters! I enjoyed all of the characters in this book. The narration was great, as it always is with Wen and Kai! I would totally recommend this book!

rekindked romance

The Art of Love
by Author Leslie Pike
Narrated by Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross

A sexy second chance Love story

A rekindled romance between high school sweethearts. Stori moved away abruptly during high school, leaving behind Oliver and their dreams.
14 years later, mutual friends brought them back together. Inviting them as attendants at their wedding and enjoy a week long cruise along the French Riviera. And what a week it was. A lot of fun, sex, and shennanigans. Both left their world and career behind for a week, only to come back to drama in each of their lives. The meaning of True friendship and love is to put each other first, before career and money.
Wen Ross and and Kai Kennicott brought this story to life. The accents, voices and personalities for each character were spot on! Their ability to transition from one character to the other is flawless. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this story. I was gifted this audio and offered my honest review.

Sweet second chance romance!

I think your first love stays with you forever, and this story by Leslie Pike shows how deep that first love can be. When Stori and Oliver see each other for the first time in 17 years, their reconnection is instantaneous. With circumstances that pulled them apart as teenagers, they now have the chance to get to know each other again and build a relationship. The two are whisked off to be the best man and made of honor at a wedding where their slow burning reconciliation is off the charts hot! But upon coming back home, their happiness is tested. Business issues take the forefront, and now it's time to see if that childhood love can stand the trials of real life. Pike has integrated some intriguing characters, Oliver's neighbor Prudence and Stori's father both prove to be important confidants and advisors. The introduction to Oliver's sister suffering from PTSD as a child of 911 is an interesting plot on it's own, giving voice to those children that were on site. Oh, and I can't forget the dogs! The pups in this story are so cute and the love that Oliver has for his reminds me how much an animal is part of the family. Pike has woven a beautiful romance with all the elements of real life and true love in this swoon worthy romance.

The narration by Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross is outstanding. I love this team, they are able to capture the essence of the book, give it the emotions and feels so you feel right along with the characters. Wonderful job.

Puttin' it all out there!

Oh my gosh, I just adored this audiobook! The Art of Love was a completely new take on a romance for me. I have never read one like this and I really liked the posing naked for art aspect. It’s a storyline I haven’t read previously. The actual romance in the story was a sweet aspect. Oliver and Stori really touched me… that reconnecting to your first love after almost two decades. They had this immediate reconnection and everything just rekindled right away. Besides their sweet and just charming romance, I really liked the secondary characters. I found the correlation to September 11th to be really an interesting.

Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross are just a power duo! There narrations are always a delight to listen too. Wen Ross has this deep and manly voice and he just seemed to channel Oliver so perfectly. Kai Kennicott was sooo perfect as Stori. I really enjoyed how cautious Stori was. She was hesitant and a bit hesitant to lose her heart again but she was confident and caring…. Kai pulled off the balance of Stori so very well.

Lovely love Stori for her and Oliver!

This was such a fun sweet book about how Oliver and Stori are brought back together by their close friends. But it’s been years. There was so much to love about the story. We get to see how both Stori and Oliver have grown up and where life has brought them. I loved the support characters especially the animals and how our love for them is so important. I loved the little spot light on children who were near ground zero during 911 and how it must have affected them. Great writing by Leslie Pike!

Fun, flirty and realistic narration done by the dynamic duo of Kai and Wen.

I was provided a gifted copy of this audiobook and I’m leaving my honest review.

True love really does conquer all

A sweet sexy second chance romance following struggling artist Oliver who manages to connect with his first love, Stori, the very same time he secures a once in a life time contract for his works of art. A super sweet, super sexy, super predictable audio, angst free, with a little drama added into the mix here and there. A feel good audio that had you rooting for the two MCs who have struggled a little with life, but as things start to come together they find that true love really does conquer all, and together they are stronger. Lovely narration from the duo that is Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross.

Wonderful Story & Listen🎧 A Sweet & Spicy Delight!

This is a wonderful second chance romance, it is my first book written by Leslie Pike and it will not be my last. She is a gifted author, I enjoy her writing style, she created interesting storylines that were captivating from start to end. Her characters are complex and well developed, they are realistic and easy to relate to. I liked both leads, Oliver and Stori, there are some great secondary characters too, including their mutual friends, Fig & Zarah who are responsible for getting Oliver and Stori together again, asking both to be in their wedding party which includes a paid in full celebrity cruise of the French Riviera. Before the trip Oliver is approached by Piper Mann, she proposes a business deal and becomes his benefactor. Stori is a successful business woman, she was hesitant about leaving her business, Whisky River, for a week but she is glad she did, as was Oliver. The chemistry between them is undeniable. I loved how everything plays out in this book, it is cleverly plotted and there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, a touch of angst, some twists and turns, heartfelt moments and some hot romance. Leslie Pike, thank you for this wonderfully entertaining story.

Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott are fabulous narrators and voice artists. They do an awesome job portraying the characters, bringing them to life, giving each their own voice and personality. Wen Ross’s Oliver sounded just as I pictured him to, he captured his attitude as well as his caring side, his Fig was great too. Kai Kennicott’s Stori was a perfect portrayal too, as were all the other female characters too. They are entertaining storytellers and their duet performance enhances the story another level. Thank you for another fabulous listen🎧

Gives you the feels...

This was a deliciously warm second chance love story. I did find myself thinking "all those years lost, how did they not search each other out sooner" But it was a perfect reconnect and a beautiful rekindling of their love.

This book contains a fascinating collection of characters, who work perfectly within the story... And all story's work better with animals... Ermmm not in a dodgy way... Just mean, having pets in story's work!

Narration was well executed, giving depth to all the characters.
