Wonderful surprise!

We almost missed this one due to a few bad reviews. We listened anyway and thank goodness we did. This story ties together the history of the Cahills and introduces the Vespers in a manner just as exciting , or maybe more so, than the previous books. This book was a favorite of the whole family, including my very picky (but altogether wonderful) wife.. It still befuddles me how so many writers can work together to keep continuity but by golly they do. David Pittu has the tone of the story down pat and never gets hard to listen to.

Great lead into the 1st book - Cahills vs Vespers

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Great to show kids how teamwork always truimph over individual achievement.

Have you listened to any of David Pittu’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

The performance of David Pittu has gotten better as he gone through the series.

Any additional comments?

Good performance, with a great book, great lessons for kids. Plus a great lead in to the next series of books, Cahills vs Vespers.

Major disappointment - loved books 1-10

My family listened to books 1 - 10 during a long cross country road trip over Christmas and my kids really got into the stories. Last weekend we did a trip to Yosemite National Park and we were happy to learn that book 11 just came out. WOW - WHAT A MAJOR LET DOWN! My kids HATED this book... to the point that they asked to just turn it off and listen to music. I must say that I didn't like it at all either. It was basically just prequel info for the next set of books that could have gone into one of the "bonus" materials after all the other stories. I mean, this book was really just plain JUNK. Save yourself the money - skip this one you wont miss anything. The entire book can be summed up as: "there is a ring" - End of story. Following the ring through time was just not entertaining. Again - bonus material sure - a whole book - absolutely not.

Vespers Rising

The book is very disappointing, the authors spend to many chapters on Gideon, then Madeline, and lastly Grace Cahill. In the end there is a few short chapters involving Amy and Dan by they are very cut off. I was very excited for this book especially since it came out on my birthday but in the end it was very disappointing. I hope any future books will be better.
