Publisher's Summary

The world is on the brink.

It was the last peace, the great peace, the deep breath before the storm. The Golden Age was closing and the heavens paused and waited for the long plunge ahead. Some people saw it coming. But they were few.

The first episode of this geopolitical thriller sets up the start of an epic battle between Light and Darkness. Taking listeners from Saudi Arabia to Israel to Washington, D.C., and Chicago, Wrath & Righteousness is a frightening, torn-from-the-headlines peek into the future.

The forces of Darkness, personified by a mysterious old man, have focused their efforts on a Saudi Prince who is second in line to the Royal House of Saud. By tempting the Prince with power beyond his wildest imagination, Lucifer and his servants have secured all of the pieces necessary to unleash Armageddon, turn allies against each other, and bring down the West. Freedom's only chance for survival rests with a group of people who do not even know they've been chosen for the job.

More than a simple techno-thriller, Wrath & Righteousness examines the eternal battle between Good and Evil while also asking one of the fundamental questions of our existence: What is mankind's relationship to the spiritual world? Packed with thrilling action and underscored by a timeless story of war, love and spirituality, Wrath & Righteousness has been described by number one best-selling author Glenn Beck as "The Left Behind series for a new generation."

Wrath & Righteousness is a 10-episode series by Chris Stewart, a world-record-setting Air Force pilot (fastest nonstop flight around the world) and New York Times best-selling author of several books, including The Miracle of Freedom. This series was adapted and updated from the previously published The Great and Terrible series that was released from 2003-2008.

Excellent!!!!

One of the better audio books I've listened to. A really good story about a devastating attack on the United States and the never ending fight between good and evil. In a small thread that extends throughout the book--A reminder that evil exists and is closer than we think. The greatest deception of Satan was to convince men that he doesn't exist. This book reminds you that he does and he plays a role in the world as an active participant.

chilling

very long but well worth the listen. This story is a frightening look at a very possible future for our country. While bleak in parts, joy and hope are also woven throughout,

i would mention that there is a heavy amount of Mormon doctrine in the last third of the book. It influences the storyline, but didnt bother me.i didnt read it for the religious aspect. i was able to recognize what was Mormon doctrine and chose to overlook that aspect.

i really enjoyed the story and the narration.

BEWARE

This is a Mormon ideology propaganda series. I was unaware of that. The first 23 hours were great, then? 15 hours of over explaining quasi parables, and 15 hours of praising.

Great read

This book kept me up, it excited me, made me tear up, made me think, and a host of other things. The character development is so well done I made some new friends. When recommending it I described it as, Frank Peretti meets Tom Clancy. Well worth the time to read.

INCREDIBLE BOOK IN EVERY WAY!

Where does Wrath & Righteousness rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is the most incredible book that I have ever listened to! Absolutely spell-binding! It's as if this book was written from the headlines. I was listening to this when the terror attack was perpetrated on Paris, and I told my husband that it's like the author had their play book. I believe these things are happening right now in the USA as well as world-wide, which makes listening to this very enlightening, but sobering. Besides the great story and fabulous narrator, it is a wonderful value for your money. For 1 credit I got over 52 hrs listening time! I never wanted it to end! The main characters became a part of my family! If you are looking for something that uses vulgar language, graphic violence and uncouth sexual content, this book is not for you! This is a very moral and Godly book.

What other book might you compare Wrath & Righteousness to and why?

299 Days, Days of Noah, American Exit Strategy

Have you listened to any of Brian Troxell’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but I certain will look for him as a narrator when searching for new listens. He is incredible in every way!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I had many extreme reactions while listening to this book! It stirred every emotion in a good way. It will make you want to do something to change things.

Myopic

One to avoid unless you from the US bible belt. Only got to the end with liberal use of the plus 30 second button.

Long, painful, unimaginative religious claptrap

What would have made Wrath & Righteousness better?

Lose the simple solutions religion offers and spend some time understanding people and how they function.
A sanctimonious, right-wing, Christian soldier is probably not the best person to write a good apocalyptic novel.

Has Wrath & Righteousness put you off other books in this genre?

First I would need to define the genre but definitely nothing Chris Stewart. It was painful.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

I'm not even sure he himself believed this. He should not try top speak in female voices.

What character would you cut from Wrath & Righteousness?

All the good guys and the bad guys and the storyline. Not sure I would have much left if I started chopping away at this 54-hour long novel filled with superfluous, pointless, predictable, badly written bits.

Any additional comments?

Of course if you are a religious person and need to feel incredibly lucky to be one, go ahead and read it, it will make you feel very good about yourself.
