Publisher's summary

From USA Today best-selling Author, C. L. Stone, listen to The Other Side of Envy, the eighth book in The Academy Ghost Bird Series.

Sang Sorenson dreams of what life might be like for her in the Academy, but joining isn't as easy as simply writing an exam or passing an interview. She'll need to pull the team together to get them on her side in order for it to work, which is harder than it sounds. The boys will do anything to protect her, which, for some, means keeping her out.

But that's not all that's going on in Sang's complicated life. After a shocking revelation, Gabriel Coleman splinters himself off from everyone, avoiding not just his Academy team, but even going so far as to avoid Sang. Desperate to bring him back and get him on her side, Sang digs deep into his past to try to discover a way to reach out to him.

His truth is riddled with tragic events, but with the help of Kota, Victor, Silas, Nathan, Luke, and North, she might be able to reach out to him before envy and despair drag him too far down to be saved.

Hurray for Audio book Edition!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Other Side of Envy to be better than the print version?

I would only because the audio edition allows me to get lost in the story if the narrator is any good, which this one was

Who was your favorite character and why?

I cant choose i love them all

What about Natalie Eaton’s performance did you like?

her emotions were conveyed perfectly in this book. I could really "feel" what Sang felt because she did so well.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES!

Any additional comments?

I own both audio and ebook edition of this book and while the ebook edition was awesome the audio edition I liked better.

Sweet, beautiful and heartbreaking

Well this book was just full of revelations. Some exciting, some confusing, some overwhelming, and some heartbreaking.
Sang is trying so hard to figure out her feelings and to get closer with all the guys, all while trying not to make mistakes or say or do the wrong thing. But she’s just so naive and sheltered. She has such a good heart though. There’s probably not a better bunch of guys she could have become friends with. Hopefully, she’ll continue to work things out.
Natalie just gets better and better with her narration in this series! Great job!!

Amazing narration.

I don’t know how she does it (acting I guess) but Natalie Eaton gives each character its own voice. It’s amazing - especially during family meetings.

exceptional.

This one caught me off guard as choices were made and it seemed the story was going to go in a direction I hadn't anticipated but C.L managed to pull everything back on track swiftly and believably.
Natalie Eaton's narration was fantastic as usual!!

Gabriel

The story gives a little bit more insight about Gabriel home life, and it reveals what North secret he’s been hiding from the group. Can’t wait to next book about Luke.

I wish Sang could just start at the academy already

the ending of each book is what really hooks me in and I really would like to see how their relationships work all together. The mystery is what keeps me staying. I still feel like the series is going on a lot longer than it really needs to at this point but I can’t stop. Narrator is a major reason why I continue with this series. Her performance and ability to voice multiple characters and alter her voice truly is amazing.
