Where does Code Talker rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This was a great story about one of the many ways the Allied forces used their heads to win the war. Thank goodness the Navajo are loving, forgiving people. This is the first I have read detailed information about the code talkers.

    "Excellent version"
Would you consider the audio edition of Code Talker to be better than the print version?

I think it's easier to get the emotional feel of the story when hearing someone tell about the war and not just reading it on the page.

What does Derrick Henry bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

It was an excellent experience for my students to hear an authentic voice reading this story and actually hearing the Navajo language spoken.

"Great story - wanted an older voice to narrate"
    Any additional comments?

Love this story. It gave me such a deep appreciation for all of our Marines in WWII, in addition to the Navajo people. The only nitpick I have is that I read the book before listening to the audio, and since it is written as a grandfather relaying his story to his grandchildren, the actor they chose to record the audio just sounded a bit too young for that role. Other than that, great read/listen.
