Publisher's Summary

In just one week, supernatural warrior Myla Lewis must discover enough evidence to send the evil House of Acca to prison or she will end up in jail herself, along with her fiance, Prince Lincoln. No pressure. To gather proof, Myla and Lincoln go undercover at an all-girl high school on Earth. Lincoln acts as the new gym teacher; Myla becomes the least popular transfer student ever. To stop them from getting the goods, Acca releases Hell on Earth. Literally. Good thing Myla and Lincoln aren't afraid of a tough fight. This one promises to be the hardest yet. After all, who ever said high school was anything but hell?

Great Story

The narrator continues to give an amazing performance. I love the voices that she does. I also love that she changes things up a bit and has the characters go down to Earth. You aren't going to want to miss this book!

Angelbound series

This series to me is very impressive keeping me ready for more. I love the narrative done by Christina she has a way of bringing the characters to life I would recommend this series to everyone. I enjoyed the drift off to the after realms and story line was also A+ can’t wait till the next book release and with the question of when it will be. It was simple to find out I found Christina on Facebook and messaged her she immediately responded with release date and suggested a book to occupy my need for a good listen until it’s released.

Excellent series!

Very colorful narration accentuates an action-filled plot with great imagery and fight sequences, as well as the love story. Conflict comes from within, from family, society, and supernatural planes and there is much growth and evolution occurring on all these planes from start to finish. The narrator's voice is more snarky than sexy, which - as a guy -is somewhat more of an acquired taste. But the fact is that she is so incredibly true to herself and the character she portrays that the genuine aspect of her delivery ends up being more appealing than just raw femininity. And she is consistently funny in all three books so far. I look forward to the continued development of these characters as the story progresses.

Review

I loved the book, constantly kept me interested. The connect between Myla and Lincoln adds something special to the story, not your average day couple, which was refreshing! Wish we would have found out what blackmail Aldred had on Conner but the ending was perfect anyways! Would recommend definitely!!!
The author brings the story to life in such an authentic way, it really allows readers to listen to it the way she wrote it, the exact way she intended it, which added amazingly to the characters and their development! Once again, loved it!!

Myla kicks butt and takes names!

Myla and Lincoln are approaching the deadline for gathering evidence to prove that the house of Acca is corrupt, with only a week left. On top of that, their wedding is the day after the court case. Just when it seems like everything is ready, something terrible happens and they are left scrambling to find the answers. If they can't prove Acca's guilt, they themselves will be found guilty. Their future and the future of the Thrax is on the line.

This is book three in the Angelbound series and they have to be read in order! Please don't start here because you will have no idea what is going on, and you will miss out on all the awesomeness that is Myla. I guess that this book was an add-on form the original series order, but I am glad that it was squeezed in because I enjoy the Myla-Lincoln relationship evolution and the snarky humor that I have come to love from Myla.

I was a little miffed that at times the story had a lot or repetition that I felt was unnecessary and could have been left out. For example, every time Myla mentioned her best friend Sissy, she referenced Sissy as "her best friend Sissy". I know who Sissy is, I didn't need her position explained every time she was mentioned in the story. Also, her father has AMAZING powers and I heard all about it every time he was mentioned. In case you didn't know, he has powers, FYI. It was not a big deal, it was just a little tedious. Keep in mind that I pretty much powered through the first three books so there was a little more repetition than I needed since everything was fresh in my mind, but I did encounter more repeating of things than I care for in this book.

I think this book was a good story, with LOTS of moving parts, I just don't feel like I was 100% engaged while listening like I had been with the first two audiobooks in the series. I feel like at times my attention drifted due to some redundancy in the story and then I would have to rewind the part I missed and I still felt like it may not have been important to the plot anyway. The last 3rd of the story was where most of the action and the super important reveal tidbits lived, so there if you blink (or you know, don't listen for a second) something crucial could have exploded in the story. For me personally, the first 2/3rds were just filler to get to the awesome stuff that I have come to expect from this series.

The narrator aka the author Christina Bauer did a wonderful job yet again bringing the characters to life and giving them their own personalities and voices, I really could not even begin to imagine someone else doing a better job than her. She makes the humor that already exists in the pages come to life, for example Myla's nicknames like Fish-Stick Grandpa, and the random commentary such as unfeminine forest rocks that make all human girls fall down, as per every movie and the demanding wedding gifts of kittens and baby pandas (totally normal, expected wedding gifts). And the acknowledgements are freaking hysterical, as per the norm, and I highly recommend that you listen to her after the story ends.

I have enjoyed all three books that I have read in this series (listened to?), and I highly recommend that you read them in order and listen to the audiobooks.
