Publisher's summary

She’s been promised a dream wedding. The catch? She was abducted from Earth, and her groom is a hot alien warrior with a bad attitude.

Taken to a high-tech space station designed to entice human women, LA socialite Mandy is anything but impressed. She’s not falling for their holographic fantasy suites, their promise of a dream wedding, or their gorgeous, brawny warriors. Especially not the arrogant, hot-shot commander she’s been matched with. He may be used to being obeyed, but no way is she following his orders. She could care less that he's huge and ripped and drop-dead gorgeous. Right?

The last thing Dorn wants is a mate. As a Drexian commander tasked with defending his people from a menacing enemy, he has no use for a frail human mate. Even if they are his species’ last chance for survival. Especially not one as spoiled as her.

But unfortunately for him, he has no choice. Not if he wants to get back to his battleship and save both Earth and the Drexian race from extinction.

This stand-alone action romance novel features steamy scenes on a holographic fantasy space station, a high-strung alien wedding planner with a penchant for platform shoes, deadly aliens hell-bent on invading Earth, and smoking-hot Drexian warriors with extra erogenous zones who are equally determined to protect Earth.

If you like hot alien warriors, kick-ass Earth women, and steamy romance with a "happily ever after" and a few laughs, you’ll love Tamed, the first book in Tana Stone’s sci-fi romance Tribute Brides of the Drexian Warriors series.

Good But With Some Issues

This book left me with conflicting emotions. In the end I thought there was some, good, some bad and sadly quite a bit of wasted potential. As for the good: I liked the hero. Dorn was a warrior, alpha male that was focused on his duties to his family, species and world. He was hot and seemed like a decent guy. The heat level: Trust me when I say things get sizzling and steamy. The World: I found the setting intriguing. And Lastly: The Battle Of Wills. It was fun to see these two clash together. Now the bad: The heroine. Considering her situation you are inclined to feel for Mandy and I kind of did, or at least as much as I could because she was just so very unlikable. Privileged, spoilt and a straight-up brat, this character was very hard to take. Emotion: I felt that there was a lack of a real connection between the couple. Desire, yes. Attraction, yes. Love, not so much. So, in the end, I liked this book but felt some of its potential was squandered. I will certainly give other books in this series a chance because my most troubling issue was the heroine. The book is performed by a single narrator and I felt that they did a good job in bringing the story to life.

Erotica/Lady Porn with minimal SciFi

This is straight up Erotica with a bare bones storyline. I was more interested in the SciFi ARC than with the explicit sex scenes.

Lol, I'm a prude and see no reason why they couldn't be married 1st. Anyway, Mandy & Dorn have interesting character traits and I wish the two were fleshed out more. Haha, they were definitely in the flesh zone.

World building was great, although, visualizing the bomber wasn't so clear. The ending wasn't as satisfying as I would have liked. But, it certainly does lend itself towards reading the next book...for me it would mostly be for the storyline. I'm personally not into all of the pornographic scenes. Sooo, a tall star because of her story telling skills. :-)

My star ratings include these 5 elements:

1★ story line

1★ engaging characters

1★ use of world building/descriptions

1★ the ending

1★ narration or editing

Sizzling Alien Warrior Romance

It was my first audio book from this author . The story line and narration was very good. There is action, some suspense and sizzling romance. I am on to the next book. There is plenty of steam, action, drama, tension and emotion to keep you entertained and invested. All and all a very fun and very hot read. I thought the narrators did an great job in bringing this book to life. I definitely recommend this audio book.

Fun Different Galactic Story

I enjoy the galactic SYFY style book and have read many. This is my first story from Tana Stone. I found it to be a fun generally lighthearted story with a little action. I wouldn't say it was non stop engrossing that you can't put it down, but it was enjoyable and I will continue with the series.

You have Mandy who is a bored socialite, but doesn't realize her bad choices are due to boredom. She doesn't see anything wrong with her behavior but has issues with abandonment, trust, and self image. She was a very rich spoiled girl who people wanted to be her "friend" because of who her father was. Many saw her as a stepping stone. Her popularity was vastly diminished due to being in a photo where a "friend" had insulted a son of another rich powerful person. This has basically made her a pariah and people drop her faster than you can say boo. So she became and Instagram influencer. The story begins with her making an Instagram post where she is meeting a childhood "friend". Her friend drops her because she is no longer considered to be an acceptable person to be friends with. Then she also sees a media blip about her father dropping her too. After confirming that her father will talk to her when she is better behaved and won't be giving her anymore allowance she wakes up in a studio for a game show. When in reality she is thousands of light years away being matched to an alien by his brother. Talk about bad behavior because she was sick of being considered unacceptable!!! This part was actually my favorite part. Don't you sometimes want to say F*** it all and just make a splash. well she did and got the shock of her life.

Dorn is a commander of the Drexian fleet that is on the outskirts of their space protecting them from the Kronocks. He is pissed that his brother called him to the love boat and wants nothing to do with the boat as its nicknamed. Once there he finds out he has been selected to be a groom and cannot refuse for honor's sake and because he is the last of his line that can reproduce. He seriously dislikes Mandy and the situation.

I liked the growth Mandy showed. Her maturity once she got it in her brain she was accepted for who she was and not who she knows. She discovers her self worth and love. it was great watching them warm up to each other and fall it love. It was funny, The chemistry was hot, and the descriptions were well thought out. although it was predictable for the most part. I wanted to know a Kronocks looked like but didn't discover that until the end and it surprised me. I would say a good beginning to the series and worth a credit.

Tamed

Enjoyed the story, but the narrator left some room for improvement. She sounded a little to whiny for my liking. But I would read the next book in the series, as I did get a chuckle from this one

monotone lead male

the book was okay. but the voice actor had little in the way of diversity with voices and the main male character was so monotone that it made me cringe alot. especially when he was supposed to be displaying emotion.

Off to a good start

I have actually listened to all but one of the books in this series; regret not listening to this book first based on unfavorable reviews. Jodie did a good job with narration; although narration did improve with two narrators. Now on to Random, the last book not listened before Tana adds new books to series.
