The threat of lethal core-destroying knives wielded by innocent children was a constant shadow. This was not the life Syl had envisioned. So, they made a daring escape to the wilderness!

Along the way, Syl discovered the joy of eating everything they encountered. But the local monsters weren't too thrilled with another creature moving in. Humans, dwarves, and elves see monsters as nothing but experience. Goblins see Syl as an exploitable resource.

With the odds stacked against Syl, the question of their survival loomed large. Could they not just survive but thrive? Could they unlock new magic and integrate new slime cores? The future was a vast, uncharted territory, but Syl was unwavering in their determination to explore it, no matter the challenges that lay ahead.

My hero is a slime

The way the author made the slime the main character was amazing. He did a great job good storytelling good progression can’t wait for book 2.

Amazingly fun story

Reincarnated as a slime, after a short chat with Gramps. The MC has to figure out how things work, and the entertainment keeps coming. After a rough start Syl finaly meets people and learns to talk.

Great book

Came here from royal road, the audiobook is great. A little confused on why it ended before the sky island but what can you do…

I want more monster litrpg titles like this one.

This book was fantastic. I hope for a new one sooner rather than later. There is constant progression and playing around with skills/traits which is what I love. Thank God there is also no imminent crisis making fake stakes like some kind of corruption, soul demon or the like. Just skills, exploration and fun. I would love a bit more intrigue but otherwise I can't complain.

Slimy yet satisfying

I really appreciate the 2 voice actors. The strange voices that they sometimes have to do to differentiate between all the different characters can take some getting use to. the MC has a refreshing bouncy personality. it feels like mc lives in a world and not that the world revolves around the MC.

weird transitions

liked the book but it had some problems with narration. firstly the transitions had no indication of swapping perspectives so that was pretty jarring. Secondly at a certain point any time a skill name was said they started cutting the audio and replacing it with another clip that sounded like it was recorded later by the narrators in annoyance. overall good, but weird narration.

Decent lit RPG that became a bit tropy

I like the idea of a slime adventurer but that's not what I got. Book devolves into standard get all the skills/perks RPG with shape shifting. You all can guess how to rest of the book turned out.

Also last 2 hours are demos for another book making the book seem longer

What a great listen. Easily kept me interested and wanting more through the whole book, and the narration was very good. I'll be eagerly waiting for the next book.
