Publisher's summary

Blacklisted in the photography business when one of her shots causes a scandal, but desperate to somehow continue in the profession, Avery Tate answered an ad for a crime scene photographer. She fully expected to be laughed at, but crime scene analyst Parker Mitchell hired her outright - taking time to teach her the trade. Now she's half in love with the man, half terrified to even acknowledge her feelings, and completely hooked on the job - until the next crime hits too close to home. Avery attends the gallery opening of a new photography exhibit to support her best friend who modeled for the show. The only image of her, though, is a chilling photo of her posing dead. Only the photographer insists he didn't take the shot, and Avery's friend can't be found. As Avery and Parker, along with Parker's brilliant friends, begin to dig into the mystery, they find themselves face-to-face with a dangerous, relentless, and deadly threat which could endanger them all.

Who did what? When?

A lot of ups and down, in and outs! Just when you think you know who done it and I was wrong. Wonderful Faith filled suspense, mystery, and intrigue. Dani Petry is a wonderful author and Therese Plummer is one of my most favorite narrators.

Captivating

I purchased this book by accident, I'm not a suspense or thrill romance person, but after listening for a moment i was all in. Very good Christian read.

Great story

I appreciated that the author tackled real life problems for the main character. Avery's past affecting the way she thinks about herself even though she's a new creation in Christ. It's a very common struggle. The harassment she faces from other male characters is pretty common for women these days, too, but a lot of Christian authors shy away from it.
The only drawbacks for me was that there were a lot of characters to try and keep tabs on, and I called the killer pretty early on, so I was more or less waiting for the characters to catch up with me.
But overall, great!

Great Christian Romance Thriller

I am absolutely falling in love with this author. I truly enjoy Thrillers and the Chase and looking at Cold cases and solving murders. Also the reality of our human weaknesses and our flesh and relationships and our relationship with God and our past. the author absolutely brings all of this into the stories and the love that a man and woman can feel towards one another and God's strength and his grace. This author definitely does not disappoint.

A Little 'Creepy'

I LOVE Dani Pettrey and anything written by her is extraordinary! I also think that Therese's narration is top-notch - very impressive! The only thing I didn't like about this book was the plot revolved around a very 'creepy' antagonist. That person is scary enough to give you chills and keep you up at nights! I have liked the plots of Dani's other books better but, as always, would highly recommend her books. :)

Still life

This is a good book . It's easy to listen to and has a good story line. There is a good mystery that keeps you interested till the end. This is a Christian type mystery. If that's a genre. I highly recommend any book from Dani Pettrey and narrated by Therese Plummer. She does a great job narrating this book. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below.
