Great Listen....

The story was a bit predictable but no less enjoyable. I very much grew to like the characters and look forward to additional stories. Performance was excellent!!!

Excellent story

I didn’t want it to end. Edge of seat suspense... interwoven with a beautiful story of friendship in the midst of espionage. You outdid yourself Patricia!

Worst narrator I’ve ever heard

I typically love Patricia Bradley but I was super surprised at this book. It felt choppy end it was very hard to follow but then I couldn’t make it past chapter 6. I honestly tried. I wanted to like the book but I have to say out of over 150 audio books in my library this was the worst narration I’ve ever heard! It was read so slowly and paused in the oddest places that I wanted to pull the words from her mouth. I tried speeding up the audio to 1.1 but then it sounded more strange. It’s odd that write the rating shows almost 5 stars yet if you check in other places there’s multiple people that have stated the same thing I have, worst narration ever. I’m just so surprised since like I said earlier, I usually love Patricia Bradley‘s books. I don’t submit a whole lot of reviews but I certainly had to do this one.

Just finished this book & couldn’t come up with an appropriate title! So instead I just entitled it, how I rated it! The narrator was decent! She did mail voices better than most females do, and she was pretty good with her character differentiation! She had a little trouble with some accents, but that’s no biggie to me! All in all, I thought she was pretty good! The storyline wasn’t bad, except the subject has been done SO MUCH!!! I thought the characters were easy to connect with, which makes any book more interesting and fun no matter the subject! My only little issue was the abrupt ending! That was a bit like coming home at the end a great road trip vacation and having the electric garage door crash down on top of your car as your driving into the garage! It just seemed so, “BOOM.” Cut off so quickly, sharply, and with a bit of an edge! Would rather have had a tiny bit of smoothing it out to finalize it all! 🤔🧐🤗😊

Lots of suspense

As the suspense mounted and the heroine’s romantic choices became even more troubling, I couldn’t wait to find out what happened. But NOW that I’ve finished the book, I want to spend more time with the characters! Patricia Bradley made me feel right at home in the southern town of Natchez, MS. I want to visit again. Thankfully, the next book in the series will be out early next year.

Good story

Interesting story. Clean with plenty of suspense and personality. Next???
