Publisher's summary

From New York Times best-selling author, Kristen Proby, comes Spells, the next installment in her gripping Bayou Magic series…

As a powerful hedgewitch and psychic, there isn’t much I can’t work to my advantage and finesse with a spell. Love, fortune, and even the perfect cup of coffee are all possible with the snap of my fingers.

But some things are utterly beyond my control.

Like the powerful and broody warlock who’s been a part of my life for as long as I can remember - and even the lifetimes I often can’t. Things almost as dangerous as Lucien Bergeron’s hold on me and the breathtaking smiles only I get to see.

Or the evil still stalking the streets of New Orleans that beckons to me to see. To feel. To die.

With everything riding on a razor's edge, and things that have been portended coming to fruition, threatening both me and those I love, I’m not sure if I’m strong enough to resist my fate. Or his charm.

If I work with Lucien, it could mean the end for both of us.

If I don’t, those I love most will pay.

A Great PNR Soulmates story

Spells in the second book in the Bayou Magic series. This book is Millie and Lucian's story. They are soulmates, and they have lived and loved hundreds of lifetimes together that Lucians remember that Millie does not. The killer is back and is hunting again, this time targeting those who look like Lucian. This PNR is atmospheric and the romance is gorgeous. The warned that the POV of the serial killer is dark and unsettling. Still, the audiobook is fantastic, and it the story isn't complete yet! Next is Jackson and Daphne’s story, which ends the trilogy.

Spells Book 2 by Kristen Proby

This time the story is about Millie and Lucian (I've always loved that name). The same tormented person persecuting them only stronger now as a spirit. Much previous history of the girls is revealed. You'll just have to read it to find out what that is. 😍

More Creepy Horace and the sisters!

4.5 stars for this one.. it gave me chills and creeped me out as much as book one but in a completely new way. <<shudder>>
I cant say enough how so completely different this book is from Jason Clarke's typical romance role. He is the evil Horace come back to punish Millie in this book.
Lucien (who we met in book 1) is actually Mille's soul mate, destined to live their lives over and over again until they get it right.
Samantha Brentmoor and Lee Samuels are fantastic as Millie and Lucien!

I cant wait for book 3 and Daphne's and Jackson's story!!

Witches and Spirits and Crime, Oh My

This story picks up a little after the previous book ends and while Horace continues from the previous book, he's just a little different. This story focuses on Millie and Lucien, and their story is a love story of truly bonded souls. There is no spice and not really any steam, but their connection and their chemistry is undeniable. Things are revealed that address and/or further explain occurrences from the previous book as well as set the scene for some things to come in the third and final book (Daphne and Jackson's story).

Jason Clarke's performance as Horace is chef's kiss. The way the tone of his voice fluctuates adds to the chilling nature of the characters. Samantha Brentmoor's accent for the sisters just sucks you in, and he male voice is one of the best. Lee Samuels' accent for Lucien's characters gives sensual vibes and gives the right tone for an old soul.
